Get the latest clockgen and set the pll to ICS 951462. That should work. What kind of bios settings are you looking for ???

What's wrong with RD580 + 939 or AM2? Better OC ability than NV and lower power.

Exactly...nothing wrong with RD580 and SB600 fixed all the SB issues on AM2 boards. In fact SB600 has better HDD perf than NV.

performance was on par and am2 really didn't change anything, you can still use the same chipsets so it's no disadvantage that the chip has been around since the 939 times

LOL ... x2 3600+ brisbane on its way... just ordered...

Hope the board will boot it...

How many voltage did you give on that memory? 2.5V?

i just received my 2x1gb kit as well... will try to push higher

    how about your voltage setting
i set mine with this volt... the board need high 1.8V NB volt or it wont pass 300MHz barrier...
    DDR2 V : 2.3V
    DDR VTT : 1.15V
    HT : 1.4V
    NB 1.8V : 1.95V
    NB 1.2V : 1.2V
    SB 1.2V : 1.2V

    DDR2 V : 2.4V ( 2.35V original )
DDR VTT : 1.15V ( Dont know , dont have any settings for it )
    HT : 1.4V ( 1.2V till about 1500 mhz , 1.3V to go higher )
    NB 1.8V : 1.95V ( 1.4 for anything over 340 mhz , 1.3 till 340 , 1.2 upto 300 mhz )

The max I have pushed my ram is about 1100mhz. It does really well with CAS 4 latency . I get about 1020 mhz 4-4-4-12 with tight sub timings at 2.35V.

What ram are you using TicTac ??? Try a higher Trrd ( 4/5 ) and Max Async Latency of 8ns.

not sure what chip ? previous owner stick heatspreader on it...
wow.. i can't get cas4 to work any higher than 420MHz....

maybe my sub timing is to tight.... can i have your memset screenshot... thanks

cant abit release a bios to fix that ??? I mean is Abit coming out with an RD580X board or not ??? I would love to see some AMD loving from Abit too , I mean after nf-7s , they just sort of gave up on AMD

Nevermind , looks like they have cancelled the project :

    Quote from Abit forums :
    Hello Michel,

thank you for your mail and interest in this product. Unfortunately we have cancelled the project for the AT9 32X. This is because we don't expect a lot of demand for this motherboard.

I hope to have answered your question.

here you go tictac , you wanted my ram settings :

    NB voltage at 1.3V , DDR at 2.33V , CPU at 1.504V , HTT at 3X ( I can push it upto 1400 mhz easily though )

    Hello
i bought this board.I saw something weird happening with memory on this board. There is a memory menu where you can set the freq of the chips like DDR2533 , DDR2 667, DDR2 800.When i select DDR2 667 the freqs of the memory at boot is set at DDR2 600 and when i set DDR2 800 the memory is set at DDR700 efective..If i want a full DDR2 800 i need to raise fsb manually.I can't find other way to make it show the DDR800 at boot. Any ideas?
Another question.HTT can be set from this option: "cpu 'n' NB bus ratio"?
I can't find other option about it so i have a feeling that this is the one.I just want to be sure because to not crap something.
I3ourne: My configuration at overclocking should go beyond 3008mhz.It have no excuse with the same settings

The ram speed is the fault of the A64's memory divider. Its normal and happens with any odd multiplier i.e. 9x , 9.5x , 10.5x ,11x , 11.5x , 12.5x . It doesnt really matter. That actually works better in optimising ur ram while running it at high speeds anyways.

Bad experience with the board while trying to install Vista X64
My Geil memory are rated at 3.4.4.8 at 2.1v but Vista don't want to load at this settings.WinXp pro works perfect.I leaved auto at timings and at 5.5.5.15 is working.During the load bar screen for vista it freeze and when loading setup (also the loading bar screen after White/black) the computer resets autmatically.I tried 2.3V with the 3.4.4.8 no success.2.3v from what i saw means in real 2.2v.I wait comments from you now if this happened at you also or was just my "luck"

I bought today an Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro and i begun oc session. After 1 hour of trial and error and cmos jumper resets i could boot succesefully and load windows XP pro to fire up a benchmark at 3003Mhz with this settings:
    286fsb
    - HTT 4x
    - Core 1.3v
    - memory 2.2v
    - Vcore 1.475v (real 1.53v -- add 0.5v to the value in the vcore list)
    - Memory i setted to DDR2 533 to be sure that i don't end up in memory problems
I was very happy until i fire up 3dmark2006.4 tests completed succesfully and at 5 the computer shuts down totally sudenly without error or BSOD.After reset i entered in bios and i saw something that puts me thinking. The cpu had 71 C and this was after reboot and temperature decreased. When i powered up the computer i see that the beggining temperature is very high about 65C without anything (only bios screen) and when i runned 3dmark06 at full load the CPU temperature imo raised to the 85C when the overheat mainboard circuit enter in action and shuts down the system to prevent malfunctions.. so i am kinda screwed..I am very very curious what temperature you guys have with X2 OCed CPU's.I am pretty worried. The only thing that comes to mind is lapping the cpu but it will stay instead at 85C at 79C (if the mainboard sensor is not lieing of course)..This is pretty high for usual operation..I wait suggestions and comments.

make sure that your cooler is making good contact with the cpu. Take it off and check the footprint. I have yet to break 60C on my cpu. Thats with pumping more voltage in it than you have been. Lower your HT link speed to 3X to make sure thats not the problem. Also make sure u have Perform DQS in bios disabled. And TRRD at 4 or 5. But all things point to your cpu not making good contact with ur hsf. I lapped my cpu , it was horribly concave. Arctic Cooling Freezers generally have decent flat bases , so check and see whether the thermal paste is spreading good or not. At max you should not go beyond 65C. If you start at 66 C idle then there is something definitely wrong. Did you make sure the fan was plugged in ??? What bios are you using ?? The one with the board or the one new one from the website ??
