What is PECI and why does it decrease my CPU Temp 10C

When it is disabled my Load is at 54C and Idle is 40C, When it is enabled Idle is 30C and load is 41C?

When it is enabled my system is unstable and fails OCCT and Orthos in 1 min, when I disable it is perfectly stable?

PECI is a communication interface (single line) created by Intel that allows the BIOS to quickly and effectively read and report CPU temperatures for associated hardware control (like fan speed, etc.). It does nothing more and will not reduce load temperatures. Hint: your room temperature went down.

Your OC probably wasn't stable to begin with, you have the right answer, if you think it is wrong just disable it.

Doesn't it just read the temp more correctly and that's why it's lower? That's what I heard atleast.

then your overclock isn't stable. stable means that it is stable with any additional settings.

thats like saying when you enable ide on your computer the computer becomes unstable but it is stable with it disabled which means your overclock isn't stable.

It probably has something to do with the fact that when enabled the processor is reading as a lower temp (even though it hasn't changed temp at all) leading the CPU fan to be run more slowly and hence making your overclock unstable.
    Seems logical to me
