Well I installed the heatsink parallel to the PCIE slot so the fan is pushing the hot air up. I don't know if it's better to install it perpendicularly. I replaced all my stock case fans with S-Flex SFF21F and added an extra fan at the middle where the HD cage is so my airflow should be good.

Is your room normally this hot? I develop 2 overclocks - a balls to the wall one for winter, and a milder one for summer.

Just for reference, my Ultra-120 Extreme on a Q6600 at 1.5250v BIOS, damper on, puts out 75C coretemp Prime95 8k small fft at about 1.48v real, at 22C room temp. With two mild fans in push-pull. Phew.
My room is normally not this hot, it's just today's weather. My vcore is set at 1.3625v at bios, 1.3200v at load and damper is on as well. May I ask what orientation is your heatsink facing since we have the same heatsink. Also what thermal paste are you using? I'm using AS5 and to be honest I don't know if I am putting too much or not enough. I followed the instructions on their website and applied a horizontal line of AS5.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks
