A Good Amusing Must-Read (if you like intarweb debates!)

For those of you who love a good read on how some people will defend the likes of Koolance/TT/Innovatek and Aqua Computers to the death through propagation of misinformation...

    Please read: http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1193634

Grab some popcorn folks. Lot of pissing contests inside. It's a shame that informed people like Arcygenical, Erasmus, Bio-Hazard and ikellensbro get drowned out by the misinformed few on [H] forums at times.

(thread created to avoid hi-jacking other thread)

I'd love for them to come over here but the misinformed ones over there keep dissing this forum and refuse to come over.

I am very glad I deleted my other thread because some of the remarks were uncalled for. Look carefully, the debate is between people who freqiuent this forum. At first, I thought it was typically [H], but what disgusts me even more is that it INVOLVES ONE OF THE XIPS IN HERE.

I really dig the alternate viewpoint. The quality of a water block shows through, although its less effective in cooling a cpu. Less cooling doesn't matter in the face of aesthetics

Did I tell you guys that I think those Koolance units on top of the V-series Lian Lis look very very slick?

True, but there are a few of us (I recently joined) that are trying to help the community in general but some days it feels like a losing battle over there. I really appreciate the likes of people like Arcygenical, Erasmus, and ikellensbro that try to make a difference on those forums. Too bad the "i know better than all of you, damn the facts" type of people over there have held that forum hostage to Koolance/Aqua Computers/ TT/ Innovatek/etc.

Just read the topics/posts made by Top Nurse alone. The ignorance scares me.

Scan all of my posts made over on those forums. I assist everyone for any given situation they may have without the same old "Buy Aqua Computers". Give me a reason to recommend Aqua Computers. Performance? Nope, can't compete at all. Price/Performance? Nope not in that category either.

The same mantra pushed by you and that small vocal minority is "Buy AC, damn the torpedoes!." Most store owners try to keep a healthy dose of objectivity and distance to the products they sell. There's a reason why Petra's is so popular. They don't try the "hard sell" on you nor "up sell" you at every turn.

It is nice to have options, that is for sure!

If you like the Kioolance unit you would have loved the V-Series case that was being created to house an entire Aqua Computer loop. It was based on the V1000 series case. Only problem was it only allowed for a 120.1 radiator.

Just leave them to it, you can't help those who do not wish to be helped.

I'm happy knowing I have the best performing blocks, pumps and radiators in my case.

I don't get all this fancy control crap though. Don't know about you but at 7v fans cool the radiator enough through hell and back and my motherboard will shut down my system if the pump fails.

Heck, I can even script ATi Tray Tools to shut down the system if the GPU reaches certain temperatures.

Aqua-PC's - no offence but you're not actually going to recomend anything other than what your shop stocks, so really the ignorance point is going to be moot.

If it ain't watercooled, I don't wanna know.

WTF??? I have kept quiet on this topic up until now.

I think people have mistakenly associated "Aqua-PCs" with "Aquacomputer". Have you people even visited the Aqua-Pc store????? They stock one of the widest range of watercooling equipment in the UK, including D-tek, Swiftech, EK, Aqua-computer etc., etc.

On another point - i still dont see how anyone can compare ThermalTake quality to Aqua-computer! Its like comparing a Lada with a Rolls Royce. . Ranker i think you will find people are responding the way they are due to the forceful tone of some of your posts. You can sound like an Evangelical preacher of the D-tek & Swiftech church. Chill out!

No offence taken, its not the point that people like me (resellers/manufactures) that could be seen to have biased intrest in set product / brands but we also have water-cooled rigs at home and our own experiances with them that leads to the opions we have without being related to our store / brand.

and get this (ranker will probably faint) i dont just use AC in my rigs i have Danger Den, EK and Aquaextreme loops to

Ranker, I admire your tenacity and you made solid arguments but ultimately it's a terrible thread that doesn't reflect well on anyone. Here is part of the OP's last post...

Like ranker said, you two should really stop this pissing match, and stick to the area's your good with. Ranker with high-performance parts, R1cK with the silent/aesthetic parts. Both of you have information to offer everyone, but you two need to stop turning threads into pissing matches, it doesnt help nearly as much as you could.
BTW, I use an Aquaero, DDC Pumps, and Swiftech blocks... Great combo!

Just wait. Read more. It gets better. More people jump in and defend Koolance/Aqua Computers. Then the few educated try to reason with them. Then you get Mr. Aqua PC's here trying to pimp AC gear on the notion that AC products are superior. The last few pages are pure gold.

Oh I knew that as the thread wound on. However, I just refuse to swallow a lot of that BS that was being thrown around like it was the Gospel Truth.

That being said, there's nothing wrong with the Aquaero nor their control products. I was intrigued myself. It's their blocks, radiators, and general FUD spreading mentality that has me so invigorated and up in arms.

Agreed. Like you said off the top.... XS is a great community... [H] has it's place, but not when it comes to performance water cooling.

Without sounding patronising why would i need to advertise on the [H] forums like that - if they all love the small bore kit im sure they know where to get it from. On the other side of the coin I don’t need to bother you have just gone over two forums spreading the word for me.

    (Thanks)

But again I’m not here to pimp my store / products etc I’m here to offer help with water-cooling as it’s my job and I have a fair amount of knowledge that I can use to help others.
