Yup, tried adding more vcore, upped FSB termination v, CPU pll v, NB v all to max values, no real help. I also tried all those settings at about halfway, and at minimums, auto - trying to duplicate your golden Q6600 ES.
Nothing going, I know there is a bit more in these CPUs, but we are hitting some sort of wall when priming. 56K or 64K Prime 95 FT in place is the spot most likely to kill it.
Once I see much more than 370 watts on the power mate, I know it's not going to last.
But still, 3.6GHz 24/7 was my happy point for e6600s, so to get 96% of that with TWICE the cores and heat is hardly a crappy result. (3.2G was my "pass" mark)![]()
