Northern Hemisphere dude, opposite seasons to us.

Also, James will be experiencing some 28-35 degree days lately up in Darwin, so those temps are still around.

Dinos, come out to Western Syd, ambients were 5C this morning

I am gonna go outside & freeze my nuts off one of these nights for some cool, fresh air benching. Waiting for the signs of ice on the grass first, which shouldn't be too far off

Luis, looking good, but you still have a long way to go in order to match Dinos's E6700. Keep us posted though if you succeed.

Haha, don't be so emotionally sensitive dude, just provided an answer for an open-ended question which you put forward.

I too could pull out a grammar nazi photo, but I am too mature for that (& ironically ~6 years your junior)

I got a let down... After 3.6, its hard to stabilize this CPU... its HOT!

I'm gonna keep on tweaking and see if I can get 4ghz bench stable.

Mine is a 'B' also. 627. I like mine. Some don't like the B's. I think that they do very well at lower volts. They may run hotter. That is the most volts I've used on this one. I pounded my 6600 with 1.8v quite a bit. I'm getting ready to try it out on this board. It ran great in the AW9D. I'm not so sure about doing that with this B though. It probably wouldn't hurt it but I'm not real sure it would be so beneficial.

Well, I discovered the issue as to why 3.6 is hard to achive... I ran bemchmarks @ 3.66 with 1.5 set in bios and it was instant crash... set it to 1.55, it passes 3Dmark06... I went to try prime and checked the volts... 1.55 set in bios = 1.48 idle and 1.42 when I instanly started prime

    i bought a MSI 8800GTS 320MB Lite Graphics card
this card defaults at 514/798MHz >> benchmarked at 653/1004

had a bit of a test tonight

and wow i reduced vcore and managed to run 3DMARK06 at 3970MHz 1.48V(1.47v loaded)

i bumped the vcore to 1.5v and ran 4GHz benchmarks on this E6700. What a CPU

    card isn't bad either

in fact, they have 9 pcs

they are all the same or there is a way to choose a better one (without testing them)

    FPO ?
