On the latest GA P35 mobos, I didn't even have to clear the CMOS at all despite pushing FSBs to test mobo limits. Both the G33 and P35 mobos self-recover successfully to stock after failed o'cs after 2-3 auto-restarts.

Kind of makes the Clr CMOS jumper redundant in those mobos.

after seeing some QuadGT results Abit is really on the game.....hands down the fastest motherboard in P965 1:1

I know what you mean about that. Try an ide controller that disappeared. Just had to unplug the psu for a bit to fix it.

there will be bugs in all p35 based mobos till they can fix the bios... no big deal... we did it with p965 this is no different.....

i donno but i have to say that Asus P35 is more than impressive so far and i'm having a hard time finding too many bugs

Its ok to have bugs, but its Abit's reluctance to fix them that's the bigger issue.

If ABit are using it again, digital VRM needs addressing for quad core cpu's, it just don't cut the mustard when pushing hard. Companies using this need to concentrate on going at least 3-4 mosfets per phase, if they are pushing the board for quad cpu overclocking, the standard circuits cut off due to heat, even with excessive cooling. Peak current supply is around 170-200 amps on these circuits, which is an uncomfortable over margin for an overclocked quad, when you consider that stated figures are more often optimistic rather than pessimistic.

Abit wont fix problems/bugs etc unless you let them know about the issues in the first place, Abit's technical department are quite good & they usually give you a positive response within 2-3 days.

You always see people whining about these things but how many of you actually e-mail them?

Plenty of boards with a monkey being paid peanuts writing all the buggy/unfinished bios's
