I wonder: How could sony work on that console for 7! years and not realise something would be wrong in the end... The X360 had real-life showings and screenshots at the time when Sony was still selling pre-rendered stuff off as the real deal... Why didn't they just say "fine, let's back it up for a second, and have a GOOD look at the we've been pulling"?

I'll be looking for you guys in a year or so when the PS3 is doing well and everyone is praising it again. Sony will never die.

I'll admit they are doing bad right now, but not nearly as bad as people are trying to make it out to be. Yes a large quarterly loss is bad, but most of the time that never causes a company to go out of business. I think it is like George Bush in that respect. Yes he is doing a bad job, but alot of good things have come out of his administration no one knows about because people are dumb and they form their opinions of him based on what everyone else says. So yeah Sony is doing bad, but it is not the end of them or the PS3, get used to it.

Ok bobdole, we need to clear somethings here. When people here say their camera's suck, we refer to the mainstream segment, ala sub $300 cameras. This is an $800 camera in which the main design came from a Minolta model after sony bought the company. They added some additional bells and whistles, but thats about it. Minolta was a pioneer in cameras, no doubt about that.

And that TV, one site gave it 8.2 out of 10. I really do not want a $3000 item that I buy be rated 8.2/10. Not also that, but other sites give it as low as 7.

It seems to be a problem for quite a few technology companies these days.

MS used 5-6 years and 40billion$ on Vista. Yes its better than XP. But its a gazillion miles away from being worth that and all those manhours.
ATI with R600 and RD600, hardly need to step more in that.
MMOs and normal games is something catastrophic in these terms.
Bluray vs HD-DVD. Its like 2 4year old fighting and cant get along in kindergarden. And we waste time and money on both, getting delays in terms of implementation and people that are affraid to buy the potential loser.

And the list could basicly continue forever.
I think the problem is, that in the technology sector we forget to look on what we actually need and how it should be done. Too much fast and dirty methods to ruin it. Like lots of GFX, no gameplay in new games. Exotic semi useless consoles with tech you never gonna use. Features and such cut from MMOs, OS, applications, products to reach a set timeline. And companies putting up bigger breads than they can bake
