HIS 2900XT Crossfire got a CRAZY score in 3Dmark03-MotherNature

I still have problem for a complete bench of 01/03/06 when running CF.
but...part of the results are CRAZY enough...

    and...a 2000w psu with 12v=80A+100A is needed for 2900XT CF Overclk with a 5.2Ghz+ C2D / 4.6Ghz+ C2Q.
    my silverstone op1000w CANNOT handle 1.62v 4.7Ghz x6800 with 2900XT CF no-oc !!!

    Nice results and congrats!

Are you really sure about the wattage though? I haven't heard about anyone having these kind of problems and 2KW is just not ... imaginable.

The measurements I've seen and experienced so far aren't that much worse than the G80, even though it really leaps of the charts when you start overclocking, but nonetheless 2KW is just ...

Thats a poor PSU then... I have the Enermax 1kW running just fine at 4.93GHz (1.78V) + 2900XT CrossFire.
Actually all the 1kW PSUs I have tested have ran just fine with X2900 CrossFire. With one or two CPUs.

i think maybe sst op1000w has big ripple noise, especially under load and higher ambient.

with amdvct, i can see only 1device with cf enabled.
and tried overclk, but score = 1gpu score.
if no oc, core = cf score.

from what i've seen so far it seems like the crossfire scores with the 2900's are really good compared 2 the single card scores.

i think silverstone op1000w is good only for cpu overclking , especially quadcore.
'coz it have rock stable 12v volt. under load, and 12v=12.45v.
there are lots of solid caps arround cpu, so ripple noise is not a big problem for cpu.
but for vga...maybe it's not good
i'd buy 2*vga power for vga card + sst op1000w for a xtreme overclking.

about Crossfire, yes, more efficiency than sli.
both 01/03/05/06 score(or part of) improve a lot compared with 8800gtx-SLI.
