what are you setting for pcie freq? try setting it to 105. should work fine, but then try some others like 110, 103, 101, 108.
Also, you could try gaining vsb to 1.6v. I've seen that as necessary in some rare situations

I cant find on 1 Ghz freq
What do you think , is it good in your opinion.
also does anyone have it or similar, so just to know xperiances or is it compatabile. sry for grammar my OS has gone bannanas
When I rebooted my P5B Deluxe it goes to a make disc screen and stays there instead of going back to desktop. How to fix this??

It has something to do with having driver disc in rom drive. Took it out and went to desktop. Thanks SIOUX.
Hi guys, first post on here.
This is a long story about my DRAM Frequency or Memory Frequency. I've used my first Kingston ValueRAM 800MHz and when I put any FSB speed over default speed and putting RAM at 800MHz, it will not boot up, only at default CPU Frequency. Now, I am at current bios revision which I thought would solve the problem and it didn't. I have to put my DRAM Frequency at Auto and Voltage at 1.85 or 1.8 and CPU Frequency at 456 with and it will be stable and boot up, but If put any 5 speeds on DRAM Frequency, none of them will boot up or black screen which is strange. I was wanting to put default DRAM at 800MHz but it is not on there or will not work anyway (only at default cpu speed).
Now, I got Kingston Hyper-X 1066MHz that is ready for our motherboards. It does the same thing except letting me overclocked to 3.3GHz E6300 with 1.320V in Windows and DRAM Frequency at Auto with 2.25V. There is no 1066MHz on the 5 list and those 5 speed list for DRAM Frequency will not boot up so just put at Auto which pissing me off. I wanted to put it at default memory speed which is 1066MHz. It sounds like I have defective DRAM. Even when I go to North Bridge Configuration and disabling the Memory Control or Timing thing that you can configure them and if I see that or leave it there instead of Enable then it will not boot up, I have to keep Enabled the middle one above Static Read Control. None of the timings will work either. It is pissing me off. My FSB is at 1880MHz. Please someone help me. Sorry if you have to read all this, its really frustrating that I wanted to keep my Default Memory speed at 1066MHz.
Vcore 1.620 (BIOS) and 1.320 (Windows) with Core Temp Beta at 42C (3.3GHz)
Memory 2.25
FSB 1.3000
NB 1.25
SATA Auto
ICH 1.057
I've tried many voltage numbers and none of them work with DRAM Frequency. I've tried the highest memory voltage which could fry my memory but it didn't work anyway.
Thank you!!
Edit: 472x7, 1:1 memory on CPU-Z.

I've got my drives set to AHCI, but when booting from my SATA-dvd it takes like 20sec for it to start reading. Is this normal? Do you guys have that delay aswell?
It's like, when it says "Press a button to boot from CD" or whatever, it's just stops before that for like 20sec then it comes up.

Well, I don't think no one will ever help with mine, I guess mine sounds like a hard one to fix. I don't think I should have posted it on here, its been like that since I first got it since December which is frustrating. All I wanted was to put 1067MHz on the Memory Speed but it doesn't show on there when I overclock CPU Frequency to 472 FSB.
anonymous88, I think what the problem you're having is a misunderstanding. ram doesn't have a "set" speed per say, and you can't run ram independently on the p965 boards. In the main 266 strap, you have 1:1, 4:5, and 2:3. These are better represented as 533mhz, 667, and 800, while fsb is at 266. Thus, when you scale up fsb, if you keep the highest setting, it's actually going to scale as well. The newer bios revisions do indeed have this value scale up, which you can probably notice.
Now, that said, you being able to run your e6300 at 3.3ghz means your fsb is at 471, which is quite respectable already. Running 1:1, like you have, you get also 471 ram (942).
In the p5b settings, you do have further memory speed options than the three listed above, but those run on a lower strap, which means that it will excessively overclock the motherboard. That's why if perhaps you chose one of those settings, when you tried to overclock past stock, it didn't work.
So that said, since you have a e6300, you're going to need high fsb to run it up to speed. That said, your only option would be 1:1. The next level would be 4:5, but at 471fsb, that'd equate to ram running at 589 or 1177. Now, with a little more voltage, there's a good chance you can get your ram to run at that speed. However, running 4:5 is much harder on most p965 boards, which means that at that high of an fsb (471), chances are 4:5 won't work anymore, leaving you with only 1:1.
So at this point, you should just work on seeing where you can bring fsb. And then maybe work on timings.
To be able to run your ram at rated speeds of 1066, while using 1:1, you'd need fsb at 533, which is a bit of a challenge for most boards. That said, you'd probably be only looking at the 6x multiplier if you did so, which would mean 6x533=3200.
Just find you max with cas4 and you should be happy

Thanks for a great response ziddey,
I got it working at the minimum RAM speed that I could off of the 5 speed list (944MHz) with timing of 4-4-4-12 from 1066MHz Kingston Hyper-X PC8500. I am only running 472 CPU Frequency at 1.320 Vcore, it looks like I could get up to 533 at 1:1 dividers.

Hi!
i am trying to run @1000MHz cl5, my a-data vitesta extreme edition 2*1gb kit at 2.30V with 4:5 divider! NB voltage 1.45V.
thing is workin', i mean i can boot, i can test but sometimes, absolutely randomly i got freeze! its not restarting but locks up! from the 2.1 speaker system i can hear this noise, its like buzzing fast...cant say properly but theres noise! and on the keyboard, the NUM LOCK led wanly flashing!
but also i was able to run dual orthos blend test for 8 hours, ran memtest86+/goldmemory for 4 hours, no problem...
still, no matter i am playing or just browsing i got randomly lock up!
what can be the problem?! my memory? or the motherborad? or my PSU is not enought?
any suggestion?
if i am running my ram @800MHz ,its all good!

-_- 2.45 volts WOW my ram cant even touch that. Try increasing your NB volts. Also the cracking my be snap crackle pop syndrome that pleauged the audigy and x-FI series cards. But if sound is normal when not overclocked then your overclock is bad/not working.
