whats the deal with all the Bios flashing problems, Im scared to flash now, but with the current bios I cannot do any thing. Every time I boot to cd the system reboots, I was told I needed a PS2 keybaord, but all i can find is a ps2/usb adapter which won't get picked up. I was just going to flash in windows and take the risk, but I cannot install. This board is angering me.

I've flashed the board many times and no problems at all

Too bad abit don't add sub timings. I can do 5-5-4-12 @1000mhz 2.2V no problem. I would go higher then 1100mhz and loosen those timings though if I could. I am sure this memory can handle it. At this strap though the next speed I can choose in bios is 1250mhz but without subtimings, and an increase probably to >2.3V I won't get the chance.
I have tested this OCZ to 1175 stable at higher multi and lower FSB...We need Subtimings!

whoho!
I managed to save my board from a bad bios flash.
the boot screen when my board was screewed showed
-------------------------------------------------------
award bootblock bios v1.0
Copyrigth (c) 2000, Award software Inc.
Bios rom checksum error
Detecting floppy drive a media...
drive A error. system halt
------------------------------------
I had no floppy drive so i thought that i was screwed but when i decided to send it away for rma i found a floppy drive at home and then the boot secuence(sp) went on and i was able to boot from the old win me boot disk and then i inserted another floppydisk with the awardflash and the same 1.1 biosfile and reflashed.
yay!! no need for new board...
edit: does the board clock higher on the mem side now or is pointless to try over 1040mhz on memories even with this 1.1 bios.
runnin ballistix 6400 that can do 500 at stock with cas 5 havent tired more but im very tempted to buy the new ballistix 8500 series or maybe its better sticking with what i already own.?

korby is correct about the coolers.
Well, I bent my pipes a little also but not that much. I guess you do not need to turn the NB-cooler as much as I did. I only needed to move it that far because of my Ninja on the CPU.Thinking about it right now maybe I should hav bent it a bit closer to the GFX instead?
pillo-kun, nice boot block save! i take it you have a spare pci video card? requirements are pci video, ps2 keyboard, floppy, right?
