So what's the max FSB you fellows are getting with this board on a 7x multi with a C2D?

My max FSB is 525 in a C2D E6300 and E6600.

I never said one bad thing about DFI or one good thing about Asus. I've always loved DFI and would buy them any chance I get. I wouldn't call Asus crap, though. They get their boards to the market extremely fast and while some may have issues, they work pretty fast in making new bioses and what not. I think it's safe to say that any company makes good and bad products and I've had my share of good and bad from Asus. Would you really go as far as to say the Commando or Striker boards are crap?

YES, commando, striker, their entire 975x series. Theres PLENTY of threads here, in this section alone, to prove this. Asus may be the first to market, thats fine. However, they drop support for boards that are screwed from the get go ( P5W-DH anyone? ). You will spend months just to resolve issues that should of been caught in QC testing. Asus has taken over where MSI left off in the AMD days... First to market, last to get it working right. Than the price gouging on top of that.

I wouldn't exactly get excited about Oskar's quad core results... It's not even a 200MHz overclock! Part of the problem, as I understand it with high overclocks on the quad is stable current delivery... this doesn't prove anything in that regard other than the chipset can clock well. What would be more interesting is if they can get 400MHz+ on a 9 multi. Then you've got something to talk about and prospective (or current) Q6600 owners can rejoice.

I'm as keen as anyone to see this board be a star overclocker for quad's but let's see some more testing.

i agree with your 400 fsb is a nice thing to attain for most quad owners...there are some who are getting that or slightly better...i can get it but i have to supply a high amount of vcore...i am uncomfortable doing that on air...maybe if i had a ice box for a cooler, i might be a little more confortable.

lol ur right...apparently i have been living under a rock. but weird thing is that when the newest bios came out for evga 680i it removed a lot of features from bios, link boost for instance. and after looking the specs of this new 680i LT there really does not seem to be any difference between the two.

yeah. besides the fact that it doesn't have the 3rd pci-e and 2 less USB and some other stuff... like the debug code thing... and i can't remember what else...

i was talking performance wise... there it really nothing new and revolutionizing in 680i sli LT compared to 680i sli. then again there has not been a whole lot of reviews yet so i really can't say for sure.

If the amount is correct then it's what I have expected. This will probably be a top motherboard and considering the other ones out at this time that pricing isn't exactly outrageous.

Asus boards are and dont work worth a damn, not to mention, have shotty support. DFi engineers their stuff a hell of lot better than Asus does on its best boards. Enjoy your craptactular Asus product, while i wait for the DFI and will work without incident, esp WITHOUT the heatpipe bull and price gouging.

My last 6 motherboards have all been Asus and perhaps I just got lucky, but they were far superior in reliability than any other board clients had me install in systems I built for them.

I will agree though that they are not the greatest overclockers due to the lack of the countless options available in the bios' of DFI boards, but They just seem to work very well for me.

That said, i'm moving up to an E6600 or perhaps a Quad intel chip soon.... and i'll most likely throw my hat in and get one of these new DFI 680i boards. They look very promising and the capabilities just seem endless!
