EVGA Mods (GTLRef) for more fsb.

    OK.....Try it but it's a bit hard......tiny components.....
By doing so, you gain more fsb on a QUAD CPU AND on a DUAL CPU as well.....

On both ends of green wire voltage is the same

hipro >> this "green cable" on the right on your photos connects 4 SMDs (2 on each end of the cable)?

resistances divide voltages....therefore all points connected to the same node are at the same potential (voltage)...discounting the natural resistance of the wire, of course...

Nice work hipro, looks like some great work. Thanks for contributing.

    Hi there guys......

First of, CREDITS go to freecableguy who have pointed out to the Overclocking community the VGTLRef spots of the Intel QUAD/DUAL CPUs....

    Now:

@ cowie: Yes exactly......where the red ones "meet" the green ones OR on one leg of the trimmer (each trimmer)......
This Mod could be done with ONLY one trimmer by just connecting Cable2 and Cable3 together and soldering one single trimmer between them and Cable1........BUT I just wanted to "seperate" a bit the Cores of the CPU......

@ ent: Yes it connects one resistor and one capacitor (as a matter of fact if you measure those ones that are side by side, they are sortcircuited)....

@ freecableguy: WE thank you M8 for helping us.....

@ billdavis: it's not one of the "new" revisions....

@ GunslingerOCS: by measuring the voltages and reading the the Intel's PDF manual...

By doing so, I had my QUAD at 358MHz fsb on Striker/IN9 (365MHz) and on EVGA (363MHz).....On IN9 by doing so I got it at 409MHz on IN9 and on EVGA at 417MHz.....Not bad but not good as well.....
