Recent one @ DFI website is supposed to, but my DMM tells me it doesn't give more than 1.86v, which, of course, is not enough.

Yeah the newest on DFI site says 1.95v but it undervolts enough to make it still tough to boot some mem. I was thinking one of our bios modders may have adjusted this, would be alotta help.

Strangely enough, have you heard about a even a SINGLE bios modded in the last 6 months here? I mean, i know you aren't on as often as I am, but really...

Hope I'm wrong but somehow I get the feeling DFI ain't pouring a lot of resources into supporting this board.

i got one of these a couple of weeks ago and am very impressed so far. with a mcw30 on the north bridge i was able to hit a 100% o.c. with my 6600 and it is running everyday 24/7 @ 4.5ghz nb temps never break 55c with as much as 2v going through it. so far my tweaking time has been limited by work but with the help of cadaveca and eva2000's bios recommendations. it seems very stable. i've found the c1 error not nearly as annoying as on the p5b-deluxe where every failed o.c lead to a ram swap just to get it going. i use crucial ballistix and 10th anniversary. and don't see the issues most were having with the d9 ram.

special thanks to eva2000, cadaveca and nemisis. also tony and kris for their input on this very extensive bios. this is my first 100% oc on a conroe, and did i mention this is in a case with just my everyday set-up!!!! no dry ice or ln2 needed!!!

i am now but the i had the old 12/22/06 bios when i did the 100% but both bios's will do it. the new one seems more stable with my set-up. i can hit 534 with no effort just bump my volts up and clock it up. i'm 3dmark stable at over 4650 mhz so far, when i get to my limits i will post more results. so far i haven't maxxed any voltages. still seems to have quite a bit more to go.

If you don't mind sharing, how high are you going on the NB core volts? I've seen a fair number of guides ranging from 1.88 to over 2 volts but have been a bit gun-shy going that far myself. But maybe we're learning that as long as you've got adequate cooling this board can take some punishment?

It cannot take 2v on chipset for extended periods. try shoving 2v through a 90nm A64..it's pretty much the same thing..same process, and no cache in chipset to give off massive amt s of heat, so it's a bit tempermental.

I recommend no more than 1.53v on air, aftermarket cooled, and no more than 1.7 under water(I won't do more than 1.66v myself). Temps below 50c for air, and 40c for water. And yes, these temps are easily doable.

i have went up as high as 2v i don't need it for 24/7 4.5 only needs 1.66 and at that voltage i average 40-44 doing desktop type stuff when i game it has gone as high as low 50's. i will probably settle a little lower than what i am running now. 1.53 or so gets me 464 fsb which tony suggested is a good speed.

1.66v is good for the FSB you are running. Just don't try 4x1gb, or you'll find you need far more voltage.

nice watercooling for chipset only, you tard. That's like dude rigging a Tt Big Typhoon on his chipset. Mind you I stuck one of those Typhoons on a x1800.

just parts i had laying aroud except for the block. i used to water cool my 1900xtx but since i went to the 1950's i don't need water (they are much quieter). btw got this with stock card clocks and no real tweaks except cpu speed. highest temp i have seen since water cooling it.

lol yeah you got some serious voltage going through that thing. Is more than I would for 24/7. Is fine for benching tho. That's good temps for those volts. 2x120mm rad?

my x1950's load @ 45c on DangerDenTyee...they don't need it either, but losing 45c in load temps is not something to take lightly!

2x80mm i used it in the bottom of my case (v2000b) when i cooled the xtx but for now it is where the drive bays are. i run my fans with custom fan speeds but still haven't mastered crossfire overclocking. these are the uber edition cards btw. got them in a horse trade for my 1900 crossfire set-up. they came with an awesome case and fancy accesories.

Thanks much for the info guys. I'm planning to swap in a xeon 3060 on this board. I'm on water with a triple 120 rad and open bench right now so I will see how far 1.66 on the NB will take me.

Jimmyz, those are nice PWM and NB temps in your screenshot but at 231C on the CPU aren't things starting to melt?

Figured something like that, looks like a phase setup in the pic. Can I ask what PLL ya'll are using on clockgen for this board? I studied the board but I can't tell, couldn't find the info on the web either.

I use SetFSB and choose the ICS951461BGLF clock generator.

System Manager works great for everything but setting the fsb. Because of the flaky SMBus driver install setting the fsb can result in system lockup at times.

Hmm yeah, I was wondering why it was a lil flaky when upping fsb. Thanks for the info.
