    QX6800@SOC - 3,9G W/ Intel Box...

    Hey every body !

We have a wonderful chip that is the QX6800 from Intel !

We are at Gamers Assembly the best ever made LAN and Video game event in France (Yes just after the ESWC \o/ )

We have manage to get a QX6800 chip... not for a secret bench session, not for a standard bench and review...

We overclock that chip in public, only with Intel Box cooler for now... But We have near 40L of ln to enjoy tomorrow and monday \o/ !

    QX 6800 + DS4 965P + PC 10 000 CORSAIR DOMINATOR !

So here is validation @ stock : http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc?id=185153

    OC intel Box (1,45V): http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc?id=185110

    It's just a quick test

We need to sleep a little to be ready tomorrow for a long and powerful day of public demonstration of overclocking with LN2 for the first time in France \o/

FSB max appears to be near 380Mhz...

Timing aren't good cause we would know how this chips will react with "intuitive OC "

How is this different than the QX6700?

Higher stock clock speed... requiring better binned chips perhaps giving us higher overclocks on quad cores?

so this chip is probably gonna run hotter than the Qx6700 then?
I wonder why there still aren't any good air heatsinks for the quads for high oc's

Well, at a higher stock speed, yes, probably a little.

Rated 150W TDP Aieeeeeee...... I think this is a QX6700 with a stock multiplier bump just to kick sand in AMD's face until 45nm shows up. Something to do for the summer ya know?

I'll pass. Unless somebody wants to buy my 6700 for 800 and I can get this for 1000. I bet it shows up on the egg for 1499 next week :-)

Rather than higher oc's I think we need multithreaded superpi :-)

    near 4,8Ghz under lN2

We are limited by the mobo :/ --> 965P DS4... need link for vmod...

In 10 minutes we have an interview with the first Web radio in france : Frequence 3 (frequence3.fr) !

And tonight We'll have a benchmarking session in live, in stremaing on Esport Live .TV \o/ ( during 1hour between 6PM to 11Pm ! ) !
(check our website, you'll see a news with the correct hours !)

Just so wonderful ! We hope that we can overclock 2 configuration --> QX6800 under ln2 on a P5B Deluxe Vmodded !

DS4 and E4300 \o/ ! Why not a 631 Cedar Mill on the P5B Deluxe if we found that the QX6800 is limited to 4,8Ghe max screen.

So stay tuned (validation and co will arrive in few minute in e news of Devil's tiger !)

I thought it was pretty suspect that Coretemp 0.95 beta program showed my QX6700 as a QX6800 when the multiplier was bumped up from 10x to 11x. This seems like a multiplier bump to me as well...

my Question is: can 965P-Ds4 (REV 1.0) or 965P-DQ6 (REV 1.0) overclocking stable QX6800 same as 965P-Ds4 (REV 2.0) or 965P-DQ6 (REV 2.0)?
