Are the unlocked multipliers properly handled on your QX6700, I mean, is it possible to set a higher one than 10x in the bios ?

    Thanks for the preview

    Yes...unlock for X6800 and QX6700.

Did you happen to run a single instance of 1Mb Pi or 32 Mb Pi with the E6600 @ 400FSB? If so were times comparable to other 680i's or better as in near 975x chipsets. I know most 680i boards can get close to 975x board's Pi performance when you run 1T. I'm wondering if this board gets close @ 2T or even beats it.

    Andre,

How loud is the SB fan? What RPM does it usually run at? 3000rpm? 2000rpm?

I think with my VGA Copper fan, it runs at 2000RPM, and its very quiet. Anything beyond 3000RPM thought and it gets loud.

Hmm, only 360 FSB with quad CPU, its really low Hope it can be tweaked and improved with newer BIOS version. Old revision C00 eVGA 680i boards had problems with quad overclocking, but new one rev. D00 is improved and can get it much more higher over 400 FSB, some can get even 450 FSB, so I dont think its the own chipset problem and limit. But who knows, DFI have 680i LT chip, but offers all things that gives 680i non-LT

I ordered mine on release date (11/08) had many SATA issues. EVGA's response at that time was RMA maybe you will get a good one. Also 2 DOA's and A1 RMA. EVGA's Warranty and support made all the difference. I would have given up long ago on any other manufacturer. I've had 2 Strikers, 1 Abit 680i, 1 Gigabyte 680i , and 1 p5n32 plus 680/650. Evga i like the best. I sure hope this DFI can Bump this Evga from my Lian Li though. The only other DFI i've had was the SLI 939 Expert board and i loved that one.

    Sure?

Andre, have you played with the GTL REF Voltage settings?
And what is the highest 1:1 1T clock?

965 975 is faster than 680i for sure, especially Super PI.

It's quiet, but I don't know how many rpm.

I have received new EVGA 680i from Nvidia, but it still don't run high fsb for quad-cpu on air cooling. Are you sure new 680i doing that?

More GTL REF doesn't help more fsb or memory.

    Here is DDR2 950 1T 32M.

That system is running an orthos test that won't be complete for a few more hours. Here are some screenies with the abit you may wish to compare to until I can though.

wow much faster than the Abit. I'll set my sub timmings to match yours, but it looks like the DFI 680i is gonna be much faster than any other Nvidia 680i based board.
