If your gonna use a slave/master combo, you ought to be fine, its just the non-master/slave Crossfire takes a bigger hit in performance cause it has to use coms thru the pci-e slot. Someone correct me if im wrong here....

Ouch.... This seemed a good candidate for my next build but the price is too high. Seems like the Asus P5N-E SLI will be on my shopping list.

Thanks! Waiting for April 22 Intel price cuts to get an E6700 or Q6600, not sure yet. I'll do a test build with my friend's E6600.

Yeah, the cable management was what finally sold me on the P182 -- the pre-cut holes and extra room behind the mobo tray are sweet.

I'm looking forward to the first XS DFI P965-S testing thread!

I have come to realize this processor is too powerful for what I do.
LOL, looks like all he does is benching. Never knew you could get too powerful a cpu for that.

Nah I don't need CF, and the board has hit 500FSB with a 6600 and 4GHZ clocks. Granted I am not an expert, but I really think this will be one of the best DFI boards they have put out.

When you fellows get them, post your results.

If you feel you must have the power of two GPUs grab a 8950 when it's released.

Besides being hot, the 680i reference boards have had too many problems for my tastes. Hard disk data corruption when they were first released and lately some weird issue with memory.

Well if this board is good then I will have to hop on it. How does it compare to the P5N-e sli?

Hits 500FSB with stock NB volts, the Asus needs extra volts I believe. DFI looks to have a higher max FSB too. The P5N-e SLI has 1T/2T option and 2x IDE ports though. I love my optical drives (IDE) but I'll still go the DFI over the Asus, which I was previously considering - purely for the overclocking satisfaction.
