ok still one left, I cancelled lol. From the results they are pretty much the same thing as Tracers. I thought it could do something like 625-650 @ cas4 and 660-680 @ cas5, now that would be impressive. Tracers can do cas4 @ 600 and cas3 @ 500 with 16mb spi as well.

Back in stock, but only 10 kits. However, they are still $269.99 Shipped and with so many other choices out there you'll be paying for popularity.

To tell you the truth I think that the 10th are the same as the crucial ballistix PC2-8000. Now as far as your questions goes, the one good thing about the alphas is that they're made for high voltage with warranty for it.

    i just like the spreaders.
the good thing about earlier vx2 is that they are GKX
    while 10th is GMH.

i'd disagree with that statement. While i've tested only 1 set of 10th aniv, i have tested 5+ sets of ballistix 8000.

Ballistix 8000 seem to base out at 570 4-4-4-5 w/ tight subtimings on 2.45Vdimm. Better sets do 580+

The 10th anivs seem to come just under that 570 mark.

While both are GOOD, I would take the ballistix 8000 for 260.

i bought them when the first came out.
and i sold it for the same i got it.

the guy who bought it then went ahead and did 1200 with cas 5 or something.

    good stuff.

i dunno if its still GMH right now though. but probability wise. it would be.

after selling i moved onto gskill 8000hz . GKX does a bit better then GMH. worth it =]

i'm guessing they are ballistix 8000's with different spd. i'm going to find out here as soon as nicepun sends me his 10th anniv.

This is my presumption because they have the same black pcb and ram ICs, I know this because I've owned the Ballistix PC2-8000 as well.

I'd say the 10th anniversary set is really great. I've clocked them as high as 1300mhz@5-5-5-15 with 2.35v.

And once I get a couple of fans to put ontop of them, I believe I easily will get even further.

And I know I'm not the only one who have clocked these sticks rather far.

I have not tried orthos yet, but they are at least Superpi 1M stable.

Though, I know for sure they are Orthos stable for ten hours at 1100MHZ, if that mathers.
