However, I am currently running BIOS 2001 and this does not let me revert back to any of the former mentioned. And for some reason I am unable to create a start-up disk and therefore cannot use the Afudos 2.17/2.11... The box where I am supposed to tick off the Start-up version is greyed out and I am just to stupid to figure out how to solve this.

Will BIOS 2004 let me "downgrade" or do I have to get my supplier to create a start-up disk (USB penn) for me with Afudos in order to revert? Or should I just buy a new MOBO and prey that the BIOS accompaning the board is downgradable or the right one... Sorry to bother you guys but this is killing me...
Use this program from HP to format your USB device to make it bootable. Once it's set, you can copy over your bios files and the afudos 2.11 program to it and boot.

I've used this program to make my usbkey bootable for when I need to reflash my xbox 360. Works great!
