I just got an MCR220 from newegg. From the spec., this radiator uses NPT 3/8" fittings for the inlet and outlet. I tried the Aquaxtreme High-Flow fittings (G 3/8") but they won't fit. The diameter of the Aquaxtreme fitting > MCR-220 inlet/outlet diameter. However, I tried the EK High-Flow fittings (G 1/4") and they fit perfectly. Check for leak and no problem either. What gives?

I went to home depot and picked up some 3/8" MIP brass barbs, got some teflon tape on the threading and it went it perfect. No leaks(thank goodness because it is mounted above my mobo inside my case)

Yeah, Swiftech just changed the MCR220 from 3/8" NPT to 1/4" NPSM. Heck, when we called 'em about it, Gabe didn't even know that the change had been made
The good news, however, is that you can now use 1/4" BSPP barbs in the MCR220 (DD barbs, Swifty barbs, etc.).

I'm really not sure yet what Swiftech's plans are there... However, I do know that the 20 MCR320's that arrived today are tapped in 3/8" NPT.

Alex, is 1/4 NPSM smaller than 3/8" NPT? If so, someone please go poke at gabe to get it changed back.
Yup, 1/4" NPSM is smaller than 3/8" NPT...by quite a fair margin (~12mm opening vs. a 15mm opening for barb insertion--I could look up the drill size for both standards but I don't have a lot of time right now).
My guess is that Swiftech changed it to avoid further incidents of human stupidity with regard to their kits (e.g. people forgetting to use PTFE tape on NPT barbs and causing problems).

The AqX 3/8" BSPP fittings don't need PTFE tape--they're o-ring sealed.
