linflas, what kind of cooling are you using on your NB, SB and PWMs? Curious, as your setup looks good.

I really think that in order to get a good oc you need active (fan) cooling on the NB. I have a 50mm rubberbanded on and my temps stay in the mid 60s all day, 100% cpu usage.

It seems when using QX6700 and increasing the multiplier only two out of the four cores actually responds when using the new 1.1 bios.
Can anyone else confirm that?

True, though there is a new BIOS to fix that on the way

LOL. It is good to hear that they are actively working on this BIOS still..and maybe they can fix with a bios update instead of the entire mobo swap out that evga is doing right now.

Funny but the new BIOS did not change a lot for me but it did correct some small issues I had. Whenever I was restarting through VISTA it would hang now it goes smooth.

For overclocking it seems that my CPU can not go any further no matter what. E6600 @ 3.7GHZ 411FSB at 1.6250 Vcore. What it seems a waste though is that it could do 3.6GHZ 1.45v on air and only 3.7GHZ on a dedicated waterloop. Makes me wonder whether water was worth it for 100MHZ.

Hello i have a issue but i have no idea if is from the mother or memories, the problem is: i can put the memories at 1150mhz in unlinked but if i try to pass from here when i enter in win and see cpuz the memories are at 900mhz and reboot and enter in bios and is true the memories are de-configured and is in unlinked and set at 450mhz, and if i try to set it in linked 1:1 when i set it and enter in win are set at 900mhz another time, an enter in bios and is changed and set in unlinked 400mhz

, and the epp is only anto configured or 800mhz 1T or 1066mhz i have no idea and i so sad i pay 680USD for the memories

Thanks, this is my loop, 1/2" masterkleer tubing, all swiftech, older apogee, and using the 8800 brackets on the gpu's, ddc12 pump with petra's top.

This is my current 24/7 setup. Board unmodified still on shipping bios and i haven`t touched the heatpipes. Just added 40mm fan to NB and 80mm fan aimed @ PWM area. Temps on PWM in low 40`s whatever i`m running, heat is not an issue here.

Voltages set in bios as follows...
Cpu - 1.4650v
DDR2 - 2.1v
Nb - 1.50v
SB - 1.60V
CPU VTT - 1.40v
HT - 1.40v

I have had it over 3.8Ghz, but waiting to finish water loop before pushing any further. Cpu cooled with Freezer 7 Pro.

Hey guys, how are your boards and overclocks going?

I have been all over the MHz spectrum today, anywhere from 3900-4200 linked, unlinked and synced (all combos), its been a mostly unstable day as it seems I can not run 480+fsb. I am trying to focus in on 4.0Ghz Orthos stable.

EDIT: Hey billdavis, what are you voltages (core, ddr, nb, sb, cpu vtt, ht)? NB, SB, PWM cooling? Thanks.

Just got around to playing with the new BIOS today, it seems much better for me as I can finally use something other than linked/synced. Now that everything else seems to be working for me I have a ton of options to play with..... I'll be at this a while.....LOL

You didn't get 4ghz? Looks like you're close in that last screen shot of yours.

Heres my latest. The only voltage I've touched is vcore...set to 1.5125v in bios.

I've got the E6700 (Conroe, dualcore) installed right now, but QX is coming 2morrow, so i thought it would be better to be prepared for this situation

Actually I was able to get 4004Mhz Orthos 11hr+ stable last night. However, yesterday I couldn't seem to get my mem stable over 500 unlinked and not synced.

Ill post a link, as I am going to put my cpu in the conroe overclock database sometime today.

I've been using unlinked for the memory but haven't really been tweaking it yet. Just leaving it at 1k and playing with the cpu.

All of you and your 4ghz 6600's who did u blow? lol jk. I've been trying and trying with no luck. 6600's 6800's, 3060, 3070 (29B) 3800 is my max!

For those of you who have tried other 680i's, Is this Abit getting any higher oc's than the others?

I guess it isn't fixed yet!! And i'm not sure it can get fixed with a bios revision. (hope i'm proved wrong)
Only 2 out of 4 cores get upwards multied... the other 2 stay at 10x...
That's the reason i got the asus p5n32 e sli plus which does it strait out of the box, @2/3 the price.

@nugzo: best 680i dual core oc'er hands down.. have tried all 680i's except the evga...
To be more exact, fsb wise on par with the striker but with better cpu power control.
