K10 will be announced Monday (updated)

    Here interview of Giuseppe Amato

The video is in french, if you have any question of what they said, i will answer you

    AMDzone:

    Barcelona Is Not Launching Monday
    Posted by: Chris_Tom on Sunday, March 04, 2007 - 01:43 PM
CPUs Thanks to Victor Garbin for a couple of links. One to a French site with a video interview with a couple of AMD guys. In the interview they quickly get to Barcelona. They talk about how it is not a secret, and that in the US it was announced this past Monday. Victor also sent this link to Tech Powerup where they have decided somehow from this video said that Barcelona launches on Monday. Wow. News to us. Actually this is why you don't get your AMD news anywhere else than AMD. Here is what the European guy said in English that is good, but not perfect.

On the other side we are working on the K10. It is not a secret anymore. In September we already discuss about that, Barcelona has been already announced just on Monday in US.

It is pretty clear that AMD was making the rounds last Monday with some websites that could be called corporate, and largely unimportant. And that focused primarily on Barcelona. This is not an indication of a Barcelona launch on Monday. I do not think that an obscure French overclocking site would be were AMD decides to announce that oh yeah, Barcelona is coming out Monday. That would be quite the paper launch. I hope this sufficiently squashes this before it becomes rumor.

They speak a bit about 4x4 and a GPU in torrentza for medical use. They speak about K10 performance, but nothing very new.

Does anyone know if when they announce it we will start to see benchmarks from people with ES samples who are under an NDA come out of the woodwork, or if at least we'll start seeing ES samples and benchmarks soon after?

I may have missed some crucial info relating to that somewhere, but if anyone knows I'd appreciate it.

thus far the only benchmarks of K10 that I have seen are for the Dual core version and from what I hear they are very impressive. Surpassing those of a Conroe @ 3.6Ghz

In a recent video I saw with an AMD rep, they said that they weren't interested in pioneering the DDR3 front. Intel will do the dirty work, and AMD will use it when the market is stable.
