I'm using Eist for Vcore and multi change with overclocking and it's working fine as long as you don't want to go higher than stock volts. You would have to use RM or Crystal for that.

To my knowledge C1E is disabled in bios. Well I can't be bothered to do a maintainance boot right now...

    Idle: 2Ghz @ 1,1V

    Load: 3Ghz @ 1,325V

As far as I know, this board doesnt support SLI. Crossfire only.

The flexible Asus one will work for slots 1 & 2 with a little slack. I'd be interested to know your results.

but all it gives you is a little applet with a sigmatel logo that does nothing of consequence. Just more crap you don't need.

Im going nuts here. Does anyone have any kind of 6channel audio working through S/PDIF? I can do the Test for DTS and Dolby Digital in the Encoded Formats section and the surround sound test work fine. Can't the 9274D upconvert everything to 6channel? Also have no clue how to get Red Orchestra to use the card but I guess thats separate issue.

Which OS? I can play Dolby Digital 5.1 DVDs and get the correct s/pdif data stream out to my digital speakers. I think you have to start with a 5.1 source.

you're right, I have that installed, but I still can't get my 5.1 sound to work. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong here

Are you using the analog audio jacks or the digital outputs?
    Is the source 5.1?

OK, in Control Panel / Sound / Playback you should see 2 devices, 1 for the speakers and 1 for the spdif output. Select speakers and click configure. Are they set to 5.1?

I am aware of hacked drivers, but I havent read anywhere of anyone having success with hacked sli drivers on this board yet. Did I miss something?

TAT reads 8-9 degrees high on the bx2 so keep that in mind

Coretemp reads incorrect as well. The only "correct" reading software I'm aware of is either intel desktop control center or intel desktop utilities. I don't own everest or sandra software.

IDCC and IDU don't read the core temps. They only read the diode on the substrate.

The reason the various core temp programs appear to disagree is because the digital thermal sensors embedded in the cores are very sensitive and have a very quick response time. If you read them even at half second intervals you can get very different results based on what's going on at the time. If you load the CPU to 100%, all the programs that read core temps will agree.

    i haven't either. i'm gonna give it a try!

my 2nd 7900gt should be here hopefully by the end of this week. else, i won't be able to try for another 1 plus week as i will be gone on business.

also, any word yet of unlocking the mult with a future bios revision? I'd really like to use my 8x mult to see what the max of this board is w/o having to use crystalcpuid (which i can't seem to get to work properly).

you're right, I'm such an idiot. That was the problem, I've never configured the sound before in Vista and I didn't bother to look there.

    Thanks again, I appreciate it.

    Hey guys,

Just built the rig in my sig. I read this thread up to page 45 and concensus up till then was that BIOS 2333 was best for OC'ing. Is this still the case? I'm not having much luck on getting this CPU/board past about 340, I'm using the latest BIOS.

All your power cables connected again?
If you're changing the voltages, did you completely power down afterwards?

It's still the consensus. If you're using later BIOS's did you disable the Watchdog on the maintenance menu?

What settings are you trying and what symptoms are you seeing?

No I have left the watchdog thingy on. Basically I get the OC failed message whenever I try even a mild OC. I'd prefer to keep the latest BIOS if I can.

Thanks GTJ! I'll give this a crack tonight when I get home.
