    This test likes RAM bandwidth, high FSBs and hates Vista. I re-ran it after adding another GB of RAM. I had to lower my RAM speed but got an extra 100 Mhz out of my CPU in the process. I figured the added CPU speed would make up for the lower performing RAM, nope. It also seems the 1.2 version runs slower than the 1.0.0.

    Have you run 1.2 on your XP install m8?

    Nope, I scraped my XP install. I was spending more time in Vista and rebooting to play a game turned into a pain.

    Updated with my second stick of OCZ (from RMA! ) Later I'm going to go for a 11,000 pass. Core speed was actually 3550mhz.

    it would be a good benchmark but there is FAR too much variation from one build to the next, so theres literally no consistency between the benchmarks if one person is using a different version.

    why do Cores take such a big dip in 8 Queens in the multithreaded version 1.2 and score about 3 times higher in version 1.0...
