I got some kingston value ram today on a p5n-e SLi. 1gb stick $100 pc2-5300. I'm running them at 900mhz 4-4-4-12 at 2.1v That is some sweet stuff for $100 Canadian dollars.
I can't tell what IC's they use tho cuz it just says kingston all over them.

nice results. they were kvr667's eh? I have two sticks as well (albeit 512mb sticks single sided) and they'll do 800 5-4-4-12 @ 2.15v, but not really any higher. try to do 900 with 6-6-6 and 2.1-2.4v and it's no post. try 800 4-4-4 with higher volts and no stability.

I have quite alot Kits of Kingston PC5300 not sure what IC they are but I had 958mhz out of them with the last setup
Any Ideas on the IC's?
Could you post some pictures of the modules and close-ups of the ICs?Originally Posted by rapty

I've got this on my kingston VR 5300 1GB and i managed 990mhz 5-5-5 @ 2.25v.

hmm, I've got the same looking ic, but mine says:
s80206
0703 s01
d640btebggl3r
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=134177
Mine is performing not too well. It won't even post at 900mhz 5-5-5 or 6-6-6 with 2.15v, 2.25v, 2.45v.
It passed memtest for 1 iteration at 800 5-5-5-15 2.15v, and longer in the windows port (not sure how reliable that one is). But both nights so far when I've tried to run large fft and 3dm03 in loop, by the time i wake up, the thing machine check errored, which I'd imagine is ram. So it's back to more ram checking I guess.
edit: comparing the pictures, it looks like it might be the infineon af-3s. Cross checking with the ddr2 list, it looks like kingston is using af-3s on the hyper-x 6400 line. hmm

SyncMax is not a chipmanufacturer. It's part of the Concord Idea Corporation.Originally Posted by mach82

Here's the pic of my IC also on kingston VR 5300 1gb.
I got 980mhz 4-4-4-12 at 2.3v I can probably go a bit higher if a relax the timings to 5.

What's the max mem speed you can get on your quad GT? I can't seem to get anything past around 530mhz or so.

I see what I see, and you see what you see. I can't make you see what I see, but I can tell you what I see is not what you see. Truth is, we see what we want to see, and what we want to see is what those around us see. And what we don't see is... well, conspiracies.
