The cooling design on the TP35D3-A7 Deluxe looks idential to that of the Gigabyte DQ6.
Gigabyte EP45-DQ6 - rev 1.0, F13a bios | Intel Q9450 Yorkfield 413x8=3.3GHz | OCZ ProXStream 1000W PSU | Azuen X-Fi Prelude 64MB X-RAM| WD VelociRaptor 74HLFS-01G6U0 16MB cache 74GB - 2 drive RAID 0 64k stripe | ASUS 9800GT Ultimate 512MB RAM (128 SP!!) | G.SKILL PC2-8800 4GB kit @ 1100MHz | OCZ ATV Turbo 4GB USB flash | Scythe Ninja Copper + Scythe 120mm fan | BenQ M2400HD 24" 16:9 LCD | Plextor 716SA 0308; firmware 1.11 | Microsoft Wireless Entertainment Desktop 8000 | Netgear RangeMax DG834PN 108mbps; firmware 1.03.39 + HAWKING HWUG1 108mbps USB dongle | Digital Doc 5+ | 7 CoolerMaster 80mm blue LED fans | Aopen H700A tower case | Vista Home Premium - 32bit, SP1
It shouldn't Brent, as i said above the design looks very much like the DQ6 (which i have) and i mounted an Ultra-120 and had plenty of clerance.

I know the X38 will be 2 ×16, but why couldn't this be 2 ×8?
Also, weren't they supposed to be killing off legacy stuff like PS2, Serial and Floppy ports? Who uses a floppy?![]()
I gues I'll have to wait for nvidia for a 2 ×8 board with DDR3...
Usual suspects: i5-750 & H212+ | Biostar T5XE CFX-SLI | 4GB RAndoM | 4850 + AC S1 + 120@5V + modded stock for VRAM/VRM | Seasonic S12-600 | 7200.12 | P180 | U2311H & S2253BW | MX518
mITX media & to-be-server machine: A330ION | Seasonic SFX | WD600BEVS boot & WD15EARS data
Laptops: Lifebook T4215 tablet, Vaio TX3XP
Bike: ZX6R
Do you guys think there will be "enthusiast" class mobos supporting ddr2 and ddr3 on the same board (not using both at the same time of course), or would this be a bad choice? /Why?

Thats Intel...they are killing legacy on their OWN boards. Third party boards will continue to use an ITE chip for PS/2 etc.

DDR3-1066?!! Pointless! They should have gone with DDR3-1333 right away

The question is: does it perform better at the same clocks and will it do 550+ easy without mods and xtreme cooling![]()
...
And I like Intel for that, being very aggressive on moving forward.Originally Posted by Richard Dower

disappointed there's not that many more native SATAII ports 4-6 ain't really that many.. 8x native SATAII ports on chipset would be nice to have![]()

Remove the ps/2, floppy, IDE & onboard sound and I am sold!
If Intel does this on their own board AND uses solid alum caps, then im going to freak with joy! LOL
I'm finding it funny that Intel doesn't want to go with two GFX PCI Express slots so that competition doesn't have bigger market for selling their solution!
I think that they've made bad decision, and that this choice will turn many enthusiasts from their solution. They’ve just opened window of opportunity for AMD to return among enthusiasts with they platform!
For all those asking for more, remember that the P35 isn't the highend
And these are just Biostars too![]()
ps2 for life. that biostar board looks so delicious
