Difference between Steppings with 3 & 4 letters??

lol thats sound hard to understand , but tell me now if i&#180;m right the last numbers 0211 tells me thats this ex is number 0211 and it cant be any another thats have 0211 but it will be cpus like <-0210 and 0212->

yes.. basically the breakdown goes like this..

stepping, first 5 digits.. CABNE in the above pic. the stepping is made during a few weeks. sometimes a short run, sometimes a long one
then after that, there is the date.. 0530, 30th week of 2005
then batch code.. has the day of the week, which batch it was that day, and if there is mixing of batches or lots allowed

then in the 3rd line, those last 4 numbers tell you which number the cpu is within it's specific batch



btw, just noticed.. interesting stepping on that chip. the 2nd number is E.. i've never seen that before
