I just got freaked out at Fords, besides, I have sat in an American car how many times? 5 was it? or was it 6? lol. Anyways I like Hondas because pretty much everyone I know has a honda and they've never had problems before. Plus I think Japanese and German cars have way more style than American cars. I think you know how ugly the Ford Expedition is compared to an Acura MDX or honda pilot or toyota highlander.

Yes, the Lancer EVO IX, the WRX STI, the NXS, so unstable.... I could name a lot more, but it's pointless.

Yeh but a late model NSX gets chewed up and spit out by a c5 vette. And im not talking about acel either, it handles better than it too. The last gen nsx sold for 120k before being discontinued and yet it was embraced by a 45K vette.

In either case, Dosent matter. I personally feel a sports car for corner hugging should have a short wheelbase, front engine and rwd. A sports car that is for grand touring should be longer and wider for high speed cornering and acceleration. Apple's and oranges here. NSX was neither tiny and nimble or wide and stable. It was a in between car.

Evo and STI are high strung 4bangers with no low end torque. They are tuned for numbers on the dyno and not on the road. Turbo charging a small engine is useless INHO. Do what lancia and now vw is doing. Supercharging for low end grunt and turbo charging for high end power. Neither Mitsubishi or Subaru do that however so these are just claims.

Remember kids things are not like in the movies. 3 fast and 3idiotic does not show car potential and neither does grand turismo from sony. Drifting is not a motor sport no matter what kids like to claim.

Also car performance has one small hangup, the drivers ability. The second lesser hangup but also important is the drivers time behind the wheel of a certain model car.

I really hope that was a joke...

I own a 03 kennybell Cobra personally, but a decently modded Evo or STI will own me from a light. Have you ever driven a newer model? 4WD owns you from a dig, then the higher band keeps them in boost untill they run out of steam around 120ish. (Not that they have much stock turbo lag to begin with.) They are not made for high speed, but they do what they do VERY well.

Go to any track, and you will see slightly modded evo's keeping up with some serious track cars. People don't like them because they are 4 cylinders to begin with, but theres a reason they have earned so much respect even in ls1 and Cobra circles.

    You are kidding, right ?
I mean, it sounds like a joke. I guess you didn't see a NSX at it's full potential, and I'm not talking about a modified version, but the stock one. Or maybe a super C5, because the only Corvettee I know that can even think about messing with the NSX is the Z06, and indeed that is better. I'm no NSX fan, on the contrary, I don't like that car at all, but it's a potent little bugger.
As for the C5 handling better than NSX, that's debatable, but the NSX is way lighter and better ballanced.
Anyway, the EVO and the STi, sorry to say, but those cars are made for the track, and they are good on it, no matter what you might think. They might not be the best, they might not have a big engine, but they do the job.

Anyway, the discussion is rather pointless and way offtopic.

my mustang with a 98 motor+75shot, yet again, less hp than a stock ls1 makes(corvette) put atleast 3 cars on an nsx.

and the nsx is not light
    3,153 lbs. for an 03
thats about what the corvette weighs, plus the corvette has tq and hp that the nsx doesnt

if you think 290 fly wheel hp, and 288 flywheel ftlbtq can keep up with 295-305 WHEEL hp, and 320 ftlb of WHEEL tq, then your crazy.

believe me, the 100lb does not make up for that much of a power dif.

LOL! So many american car haters... eh, My dad suposadly hates American cars and yet he bought me a 06 'Stang. We have 3 toyotas (one has 138K on tha clock and won't die) We also have a 2002 BMW 530i... That is a Piece of , only 24K and had the transmission fail, and the radio screen has failed ( cost 1400 bucks so its gonna stay broken)

I trust my ford... I know its gonna run for years to come, even when our last last 2 fords have failed (94 Windstars engine blew do to a bad water pump, and a 98 Ranger had the transmission fail)

We also had a 2000 Mazda MPV and had a Ford transmission... It failed too. But those where auto tranies.

Now I say, Just because I had a horrible experience with a BMW, I'm gonna say all BMW's suck... maybe... you'd expect such a expensive car to work flawlessly.

    ... Um, oh god...

I wouldn't get a v6 even if it was free ... GT FTW... I gotta admit though... all that power kinda scares me... 100mph on third gear... and coming from a Toyota Avalon that could barely push 115mph... Its a LOT. Don't think I'll ever be able to see 4th and top it out unless I go to a track.

I should of noted that I haven't topped third yet, I've only gotten up to 100 mph... reason because if someone sees me and tells my dad = bye bye stang.
