    Question:
Are you making an SLI driver for 975X or an updated driver of SLI on any chipset? It would be great if 965, 955, 945 and other chipset owners with dual-PEGs can use SLI too..

    Suggestion:
An idea that came to my mind.. Why don't we not remove the chipset checker and instead add our chipset IDs to the driver core so that driver can recognize it an can enable it.. another approach of hacking the drivers..

    Alright! How can I help??

Vista is comming and newer GPUs are here.. its time to update the 85.96.. (wait.. aren't nVidia paying those who are making hacked drivers not to continue their hacking?)

    Cheers!

Lucky for me the last set work fine for me and the games I play. It would just be nice if Nvidia would just release official drivers instead of this pissing contest with Intel and AMD/ATI. Really childish if you ask me. They would sell more cards if they would just make them work officailly. We all know they will, but their marketing execs want us to buy their chipsets too.

I totally agree. hopefully by the time the native quad cores are out they will have changed their mind.

I agree too.. also, another post in this forum, that nVidia checks for the chipsets for us to enter their 365days/prizes contest.. and rejects those who don't have SLI motherboards.. It is like saying, if you want one.. go pay for it.. or if you want one.. BUY OUR PRODUCTS!

Although facts are facts.. that nVidia produce faster video cards at a lower price.. (e.g. 7300GT Sonic by Palit for ~95USD, that's GDDR3 + G73 core)

    Lightbulb Strategy

I think we have to wait until Nvidia releases the latest driver to enable sli under Vista. After the release, Big_Sam or another genius will built the driver we need for Vista (SLI with Intel chipset). Right now only GeFo 8800 are available and ready to be modded.
    Good luck

    Will the story end?

    Important news. Big_Sam is out.
Maybe he is richer than before. If this news is true, greetings.
I think the story could stop here. We need another Hero.
The only way we have to survive is to sell out our GeFo card and pass to Ati crossfire. I started a post on Nvidia Sli forum (search for user: nickyto). Maybe we have to collect so many replies to force Nvidia to roll back its strategy about SLI on Intel chipset.

If anyone in here is a coder or wants to learn rather than wait for a driver to come out then go look up the nouveau project. It is an attempt to get Open source 3D drivers for Linux. But like some open source projects it is also possible to port them to windows. At the very least it is a learning opportunity for those relying only on big_sam to bring out drivers.

IF he was paid off by Nvidia to stop doing this then the rest of us need to step up to the plate and either A: Take over where he left off or B: Work on the Nouveau project and assist with a windows port for SLI enabled drivers. It is all about community efforts. If more than one person works on this it will get done faster than if only 1 does.

    Tired of waiting.
Just got my NVIDIA 7600GS exchanged for an ATI X1800XT.
    It's all for the best.

Well, I am one of those who is waiting for updated hacked drivers.. I am willing to hack it for everyone but do not know where to start.. I know a thing or two about the drivers and I know a thing or two about some programming languages, logic, structure and how they work.. I can do registry hacks, lower level hacking of software, well css, html and qbasic (only).. .. I am willing to learn how these are coded and how will I able to do it..

Just teach me how and I will alot time..

    Please help..

    Let's call it.. Project SLInk

*let us not discuss these in the open.. email me at heeroyuy2k3@yahoo.com or PM at xtremesystems

    Arrow Strategy

Let's wait for Ati R600 (late may 2007). Something will change while a competitive DX10 Ati will be delivered. I think most of the people (me also), with Intel MoBo, will pass to Crossifire instead of SLI. Nvidia must consider this new scenario.

first, these drivers work fine on the rd600

Second, the ULI patch from a while ago (ngo one to be exact)

Think that'll allow newer drivers to work in sli, or is that a lost cause now?

Also, could that patch help any in getting a newer version working?

If so, and you can't find it ... well just me and then we can all go when we got a new version.

Second question, anyone with 2 7800 gt's and a p5b deluxe able to show/tell me there 3dmark05 score. I plan on switching to that from my rd600 which is 8X/8X.

So I am wondering what type of hit I will take from 16X/4X

also if big sam really got paid off, I don't think it'd matter, a new user by the name of like Bobfromkenmore, could like come and make the patch but really just be big sam in discuise.

Its not like the honor system can really stop someone from making a driver.

AFAIK currently there's no processor that could bring 8800 series potential not to mention having it SLI'ed
