Try this mod on the board
Vortan, would you mind listing your bios settings for the OC. Also where can you alter the FSB ratio on the ram to 1:1?

I had a heck of a time in Canada too. got them for $20 apiece Cdn. dropped temps by 5-6C idle, still working on load.
Can I trouble you for your bios settings? I'm formerly an AMD guy and this bios has me mystified. I would like to hit 3500 (either 8x as you showed or other multi)
Thanks

Thanks for write up Kunaak, nice photos btw, and to everyone else who has added to this thread. Just received a P5N32-E and already running into bizzarre issues. Out of numerous attempts to boot, I was able to load into windows once (crashed to reboot less than 60 secs). While just perusing the bios, I would randomly lock up, frozen on whatever bios page I was on. Successfully flashed to 0702 with no change. Im operating out of the box, on the bench with a e6300 (stock cooling), 74gb Raptor, 1 gb stick of ballistix 1000 (all slots attempted to no avail) and a 7900GS. It appears that I may just have a defunct board but my knowleadge is very limited and thought this would be one of the best places to inquire. I have no idea as to what is causing these issues and any help would be greatly appriciated.
Thanks

all the owners of the non-plus version may breathe with relief for some time: Plus mobo is not the same improved-at least with it's set of chips

Some issues with the P5N 32-E i found while testing at OCZ.
1 If your ram is EPP from a cmos clear the board boots with 1t at 800 and 1.8V...even if you don't enable SLI ram. Remove the EPP profile from SPD and the board boots with 2T.
2 Board seems to have a quiet turbo mode at stock CPU speed, i found it best to force a small overclock to get stock ram stable.
3 Vcore is a mile off....you already know this.
4 warm boot issues, cold boot is needed while overclocking even going back and forth from memtest.
Issue 1 is quite serious, we found a work around but bios does need fixing for this.
Got a problem with your OCZ product....?

Have already read about Vdroop (CPU) on Plus-ver? By now-a single example from ElixXx: Max selectable voltage in bios are 1.9v, But it dosent matter wat i set it to. over 1.4v that is. Selecting 1.55, still gets me max 1.42, setting 1.6v gives mi 1.42. I dont want to select any more if the boards decide to actually change the voltage to the setting i select.
1.42v - if it is for all the Pluses-the situation is even worse, than for non-Plus

Nilson was one of the first owners of the subj, and his mobo didn't want to work with Corsair 6400C4 in dual-only in single; after changing to GSkill-the situation didn't change. As it appeared, the board was really defunct-for Nilson expirienced: if to put smth under the northbridge-it worked stable.Originally Posted by Absinthe

This is where you set 1:1. With FSB - Memory Ratio settings choose Sync - not 1:1. Yeah it's real intuitive on Asus partOriginally Posted by Robilar
This is kunaak's pic so disregard the settings he has open here, this is the place to change the ratios as you can plainly see however.

Here's my 32M on this board, not the best results for the mhz. I tried several different configs and this was the fastest I could come up with.

It's kinda dangerous to work on the SPD ... what u just said is not that good for asus mainboard!!!
Anyway.. how abt the vdrop, still that high? or they solved with new bios?

*Update - Upon closer inspection (for shipping damages, thx inzer890), the plastic pin w/ spring tensioner on the SB was broken, hence limited contact being made with the heatsink. Just the tip was broken off so it looked like it was secure, but in actuality, was applying zero tension. After resolving the contact issue, everything seemed stable until I began "adjusting" my slightly modded fastener and now no post. lol
Could damage to the SB occured as a result from the limited contact with the heatsink?
Also, how delicate is the SB to both temp and physical pressure? It was late and I was a bit rambunctious while adjusting the tension on my mod, so I assume I could have introduced a new problem to my equation.![]()
Btw, board seemed completely stable while running it for a few hours before my little setback.

using bios 702, i can only get a max vcore of 1.56v.
anyone get any more than 1.56v on another bios version?
does this board use the same bios as the striker?
cheers
Seems this board has same vcore problems with any bios. My board does not do over 1,6 also.
1,6V was actually 1,59 with multimeter, on my board.
I Didnt found any VDroop mod to this board.
Did Vcore mode like its shown in this forum, in motherboard Vmods thread.
I used ordinary 20K ohm resistor (0,25W) and got now voltiges up to 1,68V if i set 1,6V in bios.
So now my board is now overvolting CPU about 0,07V-0,08V
In future i need voltages up to 1,8. So probably need to replace 20Kohm with 10Kohm resistor. Need huge voltage to test Celeron D 347
i really dont want to do this 10Kohm vmod, affraid to brake my motherboard. I hope they can fix this vcore problem with new bios soon!!!
Guys, any1 uses GEIL GX22GB6400UDC mem. sticks? The closer moment of my mobo delivery-the more is my worrying about compatibility with the subj. CellShock PC8000 is available, but seems 2 expensive, even for me. (2Gb CellShock=4GbGeil)
