Maybe google turns up nothing because there is little known? I have heard exactly nothing about that board in reality. Takes a good deal more effort on 965 to make it x8 and x8 so if the board did appear...I would expect it to be more than 16x * 4x boards.

Any word on price too? Seems if you want a good P965 OC'ing board with 2x PCIe x16 slots you gotta pay $200+ which is annoying.
Back and forth from board to board it seems.

P965 wasn't design for multi GPU, all P965 boards with 2 PCIe x16 slot will be 16x + 4x, forget about multi gpu on it.

Bearlake X38 chipset will feature 16x + 16x lanes on the northbridge, possibily with official SLI support.

Or I entered in the wrong stuff or didn't browse through enough pages or info. was taken down due to NDA's, anyways OP would probably know not you right?

Huh? PCIe spec is for the most part modular, reguardless of chipset so long as it stays in spec. the motherboard manufacturers can configure the lanes however they want at a minimum of effort/cost, you wouldn't expect to pay $50+ for a motherboard just to get a extra PCI slot would you?

Oh I'm not interested in multi GPU, I have a x8 RAID card, it'll fit in a x16 slot just fine (which is how I'm running it currently in my Bad Axe).

Anyways though, you can go multi GPU with 2x x8 lane x16 slots which AFAIK they could configure easily.

Heh, i really like the voltages!

But the most important thing for me is, how the strap change etc.! Hope someone can test that soon, bcs. i need a board that can be that fast as my P5B Deluxe above 400MHz FSB.

the 965 has 17x on the northbridge, and 4x on the southbridge, so if you want full speed slot on the main adapter then you cant get more then 4x on the second one, however, it may be poissible to configure the main slots as 8x 8x if you had a jumper... im really not the one who can answer this though, this is nothing more then a half assed guess.

    id say closer to 6300-6400

4300 is 9x iirc so it doesnt need a 500fsb capable board per say. even a 975 would do.

from what i have seen the 4300's top out lower then the 6300/6400's... but i havent seen that much yet so who knows. seems to me most 6300/6400 can do 3.6ghz with the right hardware where as the 4300's are topping out somewhere below 3.4ghz.

    Still amazing oc's for a $150 chip.

Wow, this mobo DOES look quite good. I hope that it is around the DS3 price point... maybe I will sell my DS3 and buy it, if initial results are really good.

I don't mean to be off topic more, but what happened to coolaler? He is a great source of information, why did he leave?

in discussiond with DFi it seems clear that the infinity 965 is using the 1066strap where the asus has switched to 1333strap automatically.
the fact that the DFI hits 540fsb even on the 1066 strap seems increadable to me...

That's not looking at the cpu/mobo as a system with pieces that should compliment each other, sure every decent mobo will work with the 4300, but the point is you don't need high FSB to o/c with that cpu, so a 965 chipset might not be the best choice.

A few highly respected people have gone on record as liking the lower latency chipsets such as the 975 with high multipliers since you don't need a mobo capable of hitting 500mhz fsb, and even if you had one the chip probably won't do 4.5ghz.

That's why this is being referenced as more of a 6300 mobo, if the 4300 gives out at ~3600mhz, this thing would more than likely be overkill, and not playing into the strength of the allendale.
