    Talking Project MasterCool *Pic Crazy*

    "Project Mastercool"

This name was given when Chilly1 built a Phase unit inside trans am Case. My aim here is to improve on that version.

I was waiting for this thread to appear on here .

Awesome job mate, looks brilliant. The red paint on the compressor is really unique !

I take it the mirror above the compressor is to reflect all the heat?

Yes about time i know,. Sure it was worth the wait as its running sweet as a nut.

The Perspex enclosure around the Phase unit was the main thing to consider when taking this project on. It stops the heat from the Compressor going anywhere near the Board & Gfx Card. Oh and keeps the Compressor temps nice.

Thanks Johann, seeing units that chaps like yourself build gives the new guys like me a standard to achieve.

The air flow Works really well and the temps are about as good as id get on the FR8.5, id have liked to have used the NL11 i have here But as its such a tight fit it wasnt possible.

Yo Baz, Your little bad boy Danfoss come to a good home

Compressor was sprayed by sacha after it was Brazed and leak tested for a week Altho we did encouter a leak so a bit needed rebrazing which we simply did then sprayed after.

Sacha's attention to detail shows on every part of the case, it honestly is alot better in the flesh.

    AGREED:
    The Laws of Thermodynamics say:

Zeroth Law: "You must play the game."
    First Law: "You can't win."
Second Law: "You can't break even."
Third Law: "You can't quit the game."

Do you wanna Play Thermodynamics ???????? I forgot "you must"

Wow Guys im glad you like it, It took a fair time to achieve this finish but it was mainly due to sacha being so persistant, as im in the Marines im away most the time so he deserves most the credit

We designed and planned the air flow as this was a big concern with Phase in Case build. I must say its working without a problem and temps are normal on the board and Gfx card.

The 120mm above the HDD blows air onto the compressor and out the front, with the 2x120mm fans on the condensor pull from the front and the perspex enclosure slopes the air onto the 120mm and back out. while the 2x80mm blow onto the HDD from the rear which keep them sweet.

Again i cant stress how much your kind words and comments mean.

a unit like this takes time and cannot be rushed and that is what will set you both apart from other builder

but you have made a rod for ya own backs now we will except nothing less
then this level of detailed work

You seem to have a motorcycle reflected off the surface.
    Is that a Honda SP1 or SP2?
    Very nice by the way.

As I said before, really nice.

One question, why did you use a FR8.5?

Well i had 3 compressors to choose from, FR8.5,NL11 and another which was around 8cc. The FR8.5 was the only one that would fit. Even that required the case to be Cut,,,
