Thank you Mongoose420, great find, my frantic ctrl+f5 didn't bring up anything.

For other forum members looking for the DFI rd600 on Newegg: Searching for "icfx" showed nothing, and checking the "new products" showed nothing as well.

    Thanks for the link too!
I am now the proud owner of the DFI RD600!
Best of luck to everyone else trying to get their hands on this board.

Not to be off topic, but are the soon to be released ATI cards gonna be compatible with this board??? If the Nvidia 8800 series needs x16 to run SLI, who's sayin that the new ATI cards are not gonna need x16 for crossfire???

I'm thinkin im gonna wait quite a while before i make any hastey purchases....

I wonder if the 8800 cards really need x16 data throughput on the bus to function?

Doesn't SLI use a bridge across the top for most of the data transfer anyway? x16 = 4GBps of bandwidth... what on earth would it be doing with all that bandwidth with the SLI bridge in place?

I suspect the x16 requirement is purely a marketing ploy... hopefully ATI doesn't play these kinds of games... especially since their boards only support x8 bandwidth to the cards.

I wouldnt jump on the rd600 now unless your not planning on crossfire or you've allready got a conroe set up. Myself i was waiting for this board for my first intel overclock in quite some time. Plus if im able to justify 2x R600's i can get another mobo to run em if i have to.

Last intel i had was a p3 600EB so its been a while for me. So if you dont count the 75mhz overclock i did to that chip, conroe/rd600 gets my cherry lol.

The board is $40 over m.s.r.p. & was $70 over on Zipzoomfly the other day. It will sell out. Once everyone who's at work right now get home or checks while @ work. I'm glad I waited and saved the $30. I'm sure by the end of the month they'll be much cheaper. Next weekend is gonna be fun

We need some new user reviews on this board quick. Tempting, but I'm not sure it will perform any better than a p5B dlx. Also how does it handle 4 gigs of ram?

Not sure yet. My 7900GT's are the ones that have 1.4v on the core and have been fitted with Zalman vf-900's. I run them 650/825 24/7 & 700/850 benching. They are essentially 7900GTX specs. A single 8800GTX gets the same score as my setup & dual scores on average of 2000-3000 pts more with conroe. Not really worth it to spend $600 to get the performance, or $1200 to get 3000 more points. Thinking on waiting fo whatever the summer brings.

The 8800's run fine on the 650i boards in SLI, no real performance difference until you get above 1920x1200. The R600s are a go on this board unless something changes in the final A14 spin.

For sure, I almost bought the Newegg one five minutes ago but then remembered all the "great" mb's I bought and gave away.

What scares me is we really see no great numbers by the testers.

    Dfi Lp Ut Icfx3200

Just curious on anyone thoughts about this vs EVGA 680i... Was looking to order tonight if the DFI looks better than the EVGA board... Any thoughts? Do you think that nvidia cards would work with this board still?... Wonder what the loss would be... I want to build ther system for games but it looks like ATI is slacking on releasing a card that will compare to the 8800 series...

Eh? nVidia cards work fine on ATI chipsets, but you can't run SLI on an ATI chipset obviously. The performance hit you'd see between single card G80, for example, on RD600 v. 680i would be minimal at best and only noticeable in synthetic benchmarks like 3dmark06. RD600 hits higher FSBs at slacker chipset latencies, 680i does slightly better in 3d so far, but ATI's R600 series GPUs should be out by March and they should give G80 a serious run for its money.

I think they probably got a second shipment & have over 100. Zipzoomfly sold a few the other day, was out of stock, & are back in stock today as well.
