I know what you mean. My ear is ringing and I have heartburn I think from having all these great prices thrown at me when I don't have a grand to buy all the crap I'd like.

at least you can buy it

i wanted to buy something a while back through a member but after all the freight, PAYPAL fees and local tax it was definitely not a worthwhile exercise not to mention that the US based buy had to go through all the trouble to get the for me

I will let you know in a week or so. I bought both

Im doing a rather large d9 roundup, so i've been sitting on a large stockpile of micron.

Well, I will certainly be looking forward to reading your results. But I just ordered 2 sets of the Ballistix, it was cheaper than the GeIL and I am sure that it is good enough for me.

Damm... now I am glad that I missed those 10th Aniv. Crucial sticks a few days ago... (err... I think): http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=129838

I am not exactly what you are looking for but you can check these threads out:

These are the more expensive "Tracer" version of the Ballistix too (mit das Blinkenlights), but I think they the same grade of RAM used in the regular Ballistix.

    This shi.t cracks me up:

    The bling-bling thing

How does Ballistix Tracer do that bling-bling thing?
Our custom-designed circuit relays bus activity to the LEDs. The chip drives the activity-indicator LEDs, while the ground effects LEDs are driven directly from the module power supply. However, Ballistix Tracer modules don't require a higher voltage than standard Ballistix memory. (The brightness of the LEDs will vary slightly with the memory module voltage, and higher voltages will produce brighter LEDs, but DO NOT exceed the recommended voltages.) The LEDs operate independently from the rest of the module and do not affect performance.

    Is this still valid?

I tried to purchase it but it tells me the code (which I copied and pasted) is not valid.

    doesnt work for me either.

"The command and conquer model," said the EA CEO, "doesn't work. If you think you're going to buy a developer and put your name on the label... you're making a profound mistake."

They'll probably say something like " that was a promo code exclusively for members on a mailing list. It was discovered being used differently and was disabled. Sorry for inconvience. To receive these exclusive offers simply click here and enter your email address."
