    1) XSOS is not Vista
    2) we contain absolutely NO DRM software or support for it
    3) we are freeware

    So technically one could just give XSOS to someone else without MS coming over for a cup of tea?

    protection...

    @nn_step:

    What about the games that are copy protected with DRM dependant systems ? (Like StarF.) Will they work (original retail) or we will have to wait *fixed* versions that have protections removed ?

    Thank You.

    The honest truth is It depends and the even more honest truth is I haven't had the chance to test every game, nor have I bought any Starforce infected game, so I am not absolutely certain.

    Thank's for prompt reply Anyway, if it is not too much trouble for you, you can try 'Track Mania Nations' from NADEO, it's free, you can DL it from TMN site, it's about ~265MB. Or you can simply leave it to users to try this out once you realise the XSOS 3

    Thnak You for this great project !

    a thought occured to me after my brother yelled at me about his phone not working with his computer, and i realized i turned the service "telephony" off on his computer, will XSOS be able to support devices such as a palm pilot and a cell phone?

    This is designed as a Gaming OS first and for most. Features beyond that may or may not be added depending on the needs of the majority.

    That would be a shame

    I am really hoping XSOS would replace vista for me period but I might still have to dual boot both.

    Question, why not just copy this type of device support and other things you don't want to develop over from vista?
