Looks like the Street and DFI are having probs. There may not be anymore street by the looks of it. If not I wont be buying this board as planned.

WTF?? Explain please, I have not heard anything about that. Are you talking about the LP ICFX3200? Can be possible? A 3 months delay? DFI is crazy if that is true...

Overclockers UK has the RD600 on pre-order so I would be very surprised if it was that board that is delayed until March.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say that the closing of DFI-Street is going to stop quite a few enthusiasts buying DFI's as they always seem to release their boards a little buggy and it was one place where people could get together to fix them as a community. That's how it was with my Infinity and Ultra-D anyway!

what are the REAL issues plaguing these Tony? Surely you would have encountered some serious issues that are not allowing them to release these motherboards
I dunno m8, Both Gary and I were told Jan launch, we reported this as this was what were were told.
i have NOT heard officially it has gone back to march but i did here 3 days ago it was sort of unofficially so i pretty much feel its fact.

DFI are going thru a lot of changes as you have seen, i have a feeling they are regrouping and getting refocused.

Also DFI support will be back very soon, the loss of the street is bad but they will have to move on and a plan is already in place.

according to some rumors it's ATI's R600 that's delayed to march(but that's a rumor that still needs to be confirmed)

I was waiting for this board(at least some reviews)but i think there won't be any Dfi anymore in the future...

A reply from an e-mail sent by someone off from a different forum to DFI

    Dear Customer,

Thanks for your E-mail. First of all, www.dfi-street.com is owned by Mr. Travis Hill (Angry_Game). We paid him as a contractor to support our customers on his forum for years. Recently, he posted some improper message on the forum that hurts the relationship between www.dfi-street.com and DFI. That’s why we terminate the contract with him starting from 1/4/07. We’ll have another forum to support DFI M/B users later.

    Thanks again

Just to confirm, this thread is about the RD600, so are people talking about the RD600 being stupidly delayed or the R600? Are they even different, or the same chip being refered to as two different things by different people?!

Yeah I got the same spam response. I think it may have been what he said about this board. he was very honest about it and they probably didn't appreciate it(thats pure speculation, don't run to the bank with it)

I just got in this morning after being away for the Christmas break and have had a chance to review this thread. It seems that the issue regarding the NB temps needs clarifying. A few of the people who have received the board to date have some early samples where the heatsink was not entirely machined flat. In effect an "arched dome" is being created under the heatsink and only partial contact is being made with the die. Obviously this will cause temps to skyrocket. To those who are having this issue, please request a "flat" heatsink from your sources at DFI if you want one. Once the heatsink is replaced the NB will idle at a stable 45-50 degrees in BIOS. This is one of the reasons why the board is not available in stores yet. We need to ensure that the correct heatsink is in place before releasing the product. I have been assured that when the board hits the stores this issue will not be present. If for some odd reason a user experiences absurdly high temps at BIOS idle contact your DFI branch office for a replacement. I will keep a number of "flat" heatsinks here at our Europe branch for this purpose. I suspect my counterparts in North America will do the same. I don't think that when you guys get the board that there will be any problems with NB temp, but I prefer to plan ahead

    DFI Support Europe.
The RD600 is not delayed, dinos I believe already stated he meant R600 (graphics card). Above is the last known issue with the boards and reason for delay of the planned "just before or just after christmas release". DFI engineers are working on improving kensfield support at this time. There are no new problems to speak of to cause a delay of the RD600 'til March.

    Ok I have some INFO.

200 pieces are expected in the UK next week, more then a few weeks later. I have no Idea about the USA shipment but I can say they usually split the shipment 50/50 so you may see some in the USA next week also.

Nothing is set in stone though, i asked and i got this info but with the statement i like to see the boards before i say they are here

i think we will see them next week

it's a bit confusing,2 completely different pieces of hardware and 1 one letter difference,i know

People are talking here about the RD600 chipset, the delay untlii march is for the R600 GRAPHIC CARD

Ontopic:i always read the name Dfi in lots of reviews but never had any mobo from them, but this one looked promising ...now i'm not sure anymore...i mean,i was trying to put a rig together, but now with the supposedly delayed R600 and the difficult choice to pick a decent mobo,i think i'll buy a Xbox 360 instead

Hmm..how are they getting any given small shipments...$263 US not bad

But still 200 boards for the UK, and 200 US..this seems so ridiculous why the small shipment numbers.....so the retailers can gouge us on price...?????????????????
