    ... they seem to be a little better than this:

    .... mine can do DDR2-800 3-3-3-4 @ 2.2V with no problem and they are only $30 more (with shipping figured) than the PC2-5300 Ballistix that you have linked to.
    Cas 3 DDR2 800 @2.2 volts is definitely "handpick" level, however that doesn't mean regular sticks can't do that either....lol, because the "regular stick pool" is where the 3-3-3-X handpicks come from.

    my set is binned @ 1.8 volts most were, later the 2.2 started showing up maybe crucial had a hard time meeting bin standards.
    i can run ddr890 4-4-3-8 w/2.000v but they won't stay stable @ much above ddr1000 @ any timing with the 2.4v actual that my bobo can supply. not with 1:1 at least.

    I got lucky? I am probably going to order some more of these from NewEgg, so I guess I will find out. I am really happy with this RAM, I had just sent 8 sticks of Corsair 5400UL back to NewEgg when I ordered it.

    I have not tried running these sticks below 2.2V, so I would expect they will do 3-3-3-4 (800 MHz) at a little lower voltage. Is 3-3-3-4 pretty the best timing for these? Or is some other combination possibly better? I think I tried 3-2-3-4 and and 3-3-2-4 and DDR2-800 (1:1), and that failed even at a little higher than 2.2V.

    I think you got some exceptional sticks. Anandtech's did CAS 4 at DDR2 800 (2.1 volts)---> http://www.anandtech.com/memory/showdoc.aspx?i=2790&p=5 , but that doesn't mean other D9MGH won't d do 3-3-3-X at DDR2 800 (check out his review of the TEAM PC8000's.)

    Now I don't think TEAM is neccessarily better than Crucial but the particular sticks he tested happened to be better. Just luck of the draw sometimes.

    My 10th DDR667 were just bought from an online store, so defenitely not handpicked and I run them DDR800 at 2.25v, so it really doesn't matter if you cherrypick them, I am sure 95% will do DDR800 without even adjusting voltages.

    he means the special editions are handpicked at the factory and binned higher than standard production sticks.

    I run mine at 400, 4-4-4-12 2.1v. I have had them at 500, 5-5-5-12 2.1v, but I like the tighter timings.

    Blknoel Some nice results there dude, a friend is planning on ordering a set soon Seems like all these sets are performing great. The UK store that everyone gets these from has around 25 sets left as my friend called yesterday to check.

    Updated, decided to mess around with memset, inspired by Madness's result. Then I orthos blended it for another 2 hours before I got sleepy and stopped.

    2.3v vdimm --> daily voltage, I don't want to exceed this =P

    Any recommendations on how to improve (timings to go higher/tighter) ? I will experiment on my own of course but advise appreciated =)

    2.41v

    Same 2.41v, get 2 or 3 errors per 100% of windows memtest though so needs a little work!

    Empty.

    Haven't played with the subtimings on this board yet (recently purchased Asus P5N-E SLI) that's the next job.
    Dual 32M pi/memtest stable @ 600 5,5,4,8 2.31v which is a decent 24/7 voltage. Not quite as good as some members have been getting with this kit tho!

    <edit> Dropping to 5,5,5,8 timings @ 630 FSB still seems to give some errors in memtest. Not sure yet if its a board limit or a ram limit. </edit>

    Im pretty sure it's 266 rated (PC2-5300) :P

    PS: I see, you meant the chips on the sticks, then it's GMH 333 right

    I don't even think they are handpicked anymore unless someone can prove it. Crucial never charged a premium for them anyway.
