Would be good to mention your chipset

Here is p5b dlx but asus needs to fix that 444 > 333 timing glitch and 4:5 problem. Otherwise sub 12.6 is not so easy unless your RAM can do 650+

If sub 12.6 is what you're looking for, sure. Sub 12.5 is what will be interesting though...need one of the guys that can pull off 400x10 2:3 CL4. How about it Victor?

hehe nice times Gautam bro Theme is good, isn't it? We need to find an ad hoc scheme; we may find something better by customizing it.

So; I'll post my times later

what do you mean? 4:5 works just fine. certainly you clock higher in other dividers but latencies are best with 4:5, and thats all that matters really.

problem is that the RAM just doesn't reach nowhere near the other dividers.............i'd like them to loosen it up if necessary just to close that gap a little in clocks as 965 chipset doesn't like CAS3 or tighter timings in general

There are very, very few p5b dlx boards that work 4:5 and > 500Mhz

Heh, I was getting nervous for a bit. Still very strong for CAS 4...but you got the 1T on your side. I'm quite impressed, I always thought the 590 was far inferior to the i975 clock for clock, but you're very close if not ahead at the same timings, not to mention no one on the 965 side has caught you yet.

About the 4:5, I personally believe that it is a SPD-related issue. Asus fixed the 4:5 in one of the later BIOSes on the P5W DH. They probably slackened some timing up that's already loose on higher speed (6400, 8000+) If we knew what it was, it could probably be done on the P5B as well.

Nice stuff loc.o. How do things work out at CAS 4 and 4:5?

Thank you. Cas 4 makes it worse. Memory can do 570 4-4-4-10 but with 4/5 even 450/562 wil make system reboot.

    Its on air cooling

Mine seems a bit slow compared to yours, tried 4-3-3-4 at 2.35vdimm but didnt boot. maybe 2.5vdimm but seems a bit scary for me...

Still very nice speed for a 6300.

So, Andy, just how deep into 2D are ya willing to get?

Not at 444 that's for sure. Maybe 3-4-3-8 might, will have to try it tonight but I think it will be slower. Will also read the tweaks thread for the first time ever

Not too deep, even during those runs I was thinking about lobby hi However I do like a challenge, the runs are over quick and it is nice to not worry about the video cards for once. Should be some payback in 2001 as well.

I seem to be very close, 0.1s, however I get the feeling that might be a big gap in SuperPi when cpu capped, I am not experienced enough to tell.

    Regards
    Andy
