    Exclamation Rainbow 6: Vegas Benching

Jut to make one fact clear! This is NOT Unreal Technology 3 powered game, like article (and Wikipedia) states!

    http://www.amdzone.com/modules.php?o...tid=279&page=1

Ubi has acquired Unreal Tech 2 license for Tom Clancy series of games. And from that moment onward they studios are updating engine on they own! So, SC: DA, and R6: Vegas are using latest evolution of UE2!!

EPIC Licensing model relies on license per studio, and in some exceptional (strategic) cases per developer.
So far, these studios has licensed UE3 engine:

    Midway
    Microsoft Game Studios
    TimeGate Studios
    NCsoft
    Namco Hometek Inc
    Vivendi Universal Games
    Sony Computer Entertainment
    Buena Vista Games
    Atari
    THQ
    Electronic Arts

So, no word from Ubi! And why there would be (it rimes )
Ubi has highly tweaked UE2 for hot Selling Tom Clancy games, and full right on the Far Cry code base! The don’t need to spend big money on UE3!

This game is an absolute disgrace to PC gaming.

So not only are SLI and Crossfire not supported, dual-core CPUs perform worse than an equivalent single core.

I have X1900 Crossfire cards which require me to disable one in order to play. I also have to turn off one of the cores on my Core 2 Duo 6700 otherwise I get hit with a major drop in performance in dual-core.

The game's graphics are horrid with blur and motion effects that just try and compensate for the already poor graphics.

I will say that the game is fairly fun. I've only played the multiplayer (which has even lower graphic settings than single player) and I've enjoyed the game style so far.

Be aware if you are thinking about buying this game because it demands a single 8800 GTX if you plan on playing at 1600x1200 (no widescreen supported). It brings every single PC to it's knees.

You left Irrational Games/Take Two(makers of the upcoming Bioshock) off the list of companies using UE3.0. You also left out 10tacle studios(makers of elvon), Bioware(Huxley and Mass Effect), Silicon Knights(Too Human), Mistwalker(Lost Odyssey) and a few other companies.

Now I know why performance is exactly the same with single and dual 8800gtx. I thought something was wrong with my comp now I knowl. I will also have to try to disable a core and see the performance difference. Its possible to play at 1650x1280 res with file from widescreen gaming forum. I'm not sure if you want to try that res tho.
