Tuniq Tower vs Scythe Infinity + Mods?

A Stock Tuniq Tower, maybe with a lapped base, OR a scythe infinity with this mod and two Noctua 1200rpm fans (push/pull config). Can the tuniq really beat that? I know you would really have to test that but what does your gut tell you? lol
    Specs:

    - 2048mb Patiot PC2 5300 @ 890mhz, 4-4-4-12, 2.15v (MAX 1053mhz 2.35v)
    - Nvidia 8800gt

both are good setups, just different, at the noise levels of 2x120's i think the scythe will probably give you better performance. But the adjustable fan on the tuniq will probably give you colder temps with the fan at max speed.

but we are talking small differences here, what difference is 1 or 2c going to make? just go with whatever is cheaper/ more appealing.

They say it is annoying, but it makes about 48,8 dBa,and my old Gigabyte 3D cooler was making about 60,and I was still able to work.

    Talking

In that case the Infinity have gone the other way
The fan is spinning at 1128rpm and makes nearly no sound
IT cools an Amd Opteron 165 at 2,7ghz and the heatsink isent even warm
    I love this Cooler

How much difference in temps would you get having 2 120mm's on each side of that infinity?

well a test was done at x-bit labs and two 1200rpm fans did better than one 2000rpm fan.

    edit:
it beats all the coolers in that test (open case) so with the pressure mount mod, I would expect it to be about 5c better than that test?

yes, 4c isnt that much, but when you take into consideration that 2 1200mm fans equals about 24dba (two scythe s-flex 1200rpm) thats way less the the average 33-36dbz that is made by one 2000rpm fan.

    Forgive the n00b question...

How would that work with only 2 flat sides on the Tuniq and it's orientation on the board?
and why not swap out the Tuniq fan for a <30db fan?

I've been trying to decide between the Infinity with mods vs. Tuniq for my sig build...Any thoughts?

I <3 a quiet pc so I went with the infinity with mods. It took a lot of work to finally get improvments over the stock performance if the cooler, but in the end, I have tuniq temps and a silent pc. After trying this out, I wouldnt say it beats the tuniq, but if the tuniq were turned down to the same noise level as my cooler, it would lose.
