unload, hp on 3 stage is 7.5 bar and -135
second stage is 13.5 bar hp
hp on first stage in not hot

Good? i can say you should expect 10C to 15C lower temps ...

It will work,but it still be no colder as long as the same gas is in the 2 and 3rd stages. 1 stage compressor and condenser must be sized to reject total heat load,which will be a greater heat load using a 2 and 3rd stage with the same gas. because of the added compressor and no temperature gain. a 2 stage can do the same,but with less electrical use and intimal equipment costs.

Wdrzal, for long use 3 stage cascade with R1150 on 2 and 3 stage is really bad idea, but if it`s just for temporary use...why not, until he won`t buy better gas for 3 stage he can use R1150 on III stage.
He will gain extra *C, I with just a little bit colder HX in 2 stage cascade (-55*C under load, autocascading stage, you know that unit) got -103*C @ 215W load, so much better than "normal" II stage cascade with ethylene.
I believe Fugger has 1150 in the second and third stage of his three stage.
it may be easier to condense more 1150 or have more sub-cooling or run at a lower low side pressure,I believe Fugger has 1150 in the second and third stage of his three stage.
but ultimately its the low side pressure and the boiling point of the gas that determines temperature,as long as you have enough mass flow to supply the evaporator.
So a 2 stage with the same low side pressure,mass flow and sub-cooling will do exactly the same. with a smaller condenser or less air flow,since you don't have to add the extra "heat of compression" from the third stage compressor using a second stage gas.
