    New Mach II Firmware

Chip-Con have just sent me the new firmware. Unsure what this fixes at the moment, as they are on holiday, and will probably release more info on return - But i think it fixes errors that some folks are having with Bootup error messages and USB connection difficulties.

You can load this up via the Bootloader application.

The Firmware, revision 700 can be had from me here: Clicky

Disclamer: Use at your OWN risk, i will not be held responsable if this buggers your system up.

    Regards,
    Deano

Yep, they sent that across to me today as well, weird that they do this during their holidays, but i'm certainly not complaining!

Anyway, i didn't think it would install as my PCC software has been playing up and wouldn't run cos it thought the usb connection was out. But i tried the bootloader for the heck of it and it worked! Now the software is running fine, and the fans are being a lot more responsive. Top work Chip-Con!

USB / Software Connection Problem... I have a way round it, actually, a few.

1: Run the bootloader app, then close. Then run WDREG.exe, that should flash up, then close. THEN run PCC.exe and it should be fine.

2: Re-install windows : worked for me like a charm - be sure to use MS USB drivers though, as they work with the prommie better than mobo manufacturers for some reason i have found.

Hey Bigsy; Long time no see matey, we'll have to have a catch-up sometime

Ah well, it didn't fix that usb problem after all, but that first method you described C0ol worked like a dream.. though god knows how you discovered it!
Still it seems your well and truly into the provision of solutions in this thread.
    Cheers!

    Sorry to jump in there

I know that firmware is for the Mach 2, do you know of any Firmware upgrades for the Mach 1

I've looked on chip con's site, but couldnt see anything. And seeing as they are on holiday for a few weeks, it'd be pointless asking

    it doesnt have upgradeable firmware.

im also getting the no usb connection problem with their software, in the end it became rather irritating so much i just deleted the software.

just tried this bootloader thing and it seems to be extremely slow at whatever its doing. been going 5 mins and its up to "packet nr= 005" whatever that means.

*edit* cancelled it and rebooted, its going fast this time.

*edit again* it seems the constant losing of the usb connection is also screwing with the firmware upload so had to try it 15 times before it got all the way and said "succed". It didnt fix the usb problem though and i still cant load the software unless i use the bootloader/wdreg method first.
