Your memory doesn't control dividers, so your sticks are not bad. Do you have the latest BIOS for your board?

Yes im using the latest bios. It seems to only happen when my computer is at stock. If i overclock it and leave the memory at 800mhz it does the 4-5-4-15. At stock it does 3-5-4-15 what gives?

Here are the specs for your memory:

    800MHz DDR2
    CL 4-5-4-15
    (CAS-TRCD-TRP-TRAS)
Available in 512MB modules and 1GB (2x512MB) Dual Channel Optimized Kits
    Unbuffered
    Platinum Mirrored XTC Heatspreader*
    Lifetime Warranty
    2.1 Volts
    240 Pin DIMM

Maybe I'm missing what the problem is? You say that they will run at 667mhz with 3-5-4-15 ?

the rev 1 seems to like 2.2v and cas 4. I couldn't get it stable at 475 with anything more/less then 2.2v. But now I'm stable at 475 with 2.2v and 4-5-5-15(manual) or 4-5-5-19(SPD). Once I change anything different than that then my system would fail Orthos in ~10 minutes. I own 2 different sets (1 bought at Fry's and the other bought at newegg) and they both acted the same.I can hit 500 on both of them, actually one set can hit 505 .. but they are not stable at those speed. By stable I mean Orthos stable, I still can boot into windows.

So you are setting CAS 4 in BIOS and in the OS it shows as CAS 3? What program are you using to check this? The memory would have no effect on that. Your BIOS would control setting changes, but for it to set CAS 3 would be extremely odd!

I would do a full reset of your BIOS and use CPU-z to check memory timings. Let me know what you find. I'll check back.

Did you raise the MCH voltage on the P5W-DH?

The bios is doing this, not the ram. If you set CAS 4 in the bios, but CAS 3 is coming out, something is wrong in the bios, not the ram resetting what you set.

Also, maybe the bios is reporting to CPU-z the wrong number. Are you using the latest CPU-z?

We could give you an RMA, but I have a funny feeling it would be a waste of time and shipping expense for you.

I was trying to read up on your board and I noticed some overclocking problems. What voltage are you running your memory at? What is the max voltage in your BIOS? This sounds like it might be a voltage issue at this point. You may need 2.2v as I read that board measures low on the memory voltage off the memory sockets.
    Let me know.

    Mystupidmouth,

Are you the same guy as here?: http://www.bleedinedgesupport.com/oc...ad.php?t=27422

Please, lets not have troubleshooting all over the internet.

You posted at the OCZ forum, lets get this handled over there.

    Thanks

    What i've been getting with a E4300, P5N-E, OCZ XTC rev2 2GB PC6400.

All have been tested with Orthos Blend for 12hrs each.

Your thread will not be removed from OCZ support, we don't do that unless we see it as a non post or spam.

Second, we use Micron DDR3 for our 1600 part, pretty much the same as everyone else. I know Corsair and Gskill use the same IC's.

Now DDR3 1600 does have a jedec spec yes, Micron don't make an official DDR3 1600 part but we can speed bin 1600mhz from lower speed parts, just like Corsair, Gskill, Mushkin, and everyone else does.

I know DDr3 1600 parts are now being released, we have them in our labs for test, we will release product based around it.

Regarding boards, manufacturers have to tune the board with what they have at the time of release, with regard to DDR1600+ this will have been done with re speed binned parts from Corsair, OCZ etc, this is why you have voltage adjustment in bios

Also to hit 1600+ on the 790i you have to boot the board at 1600fsb, so Ryder was correct in what he was saying, you just took it that there was no option where we both know there is...BUT you have to work to see it.

Now as the dedicated 1600 parts become available we will move to them, boards will got thru bios updates to support them and we will all clock them to 2000+ MHZ

There is no scandal to be had here, if you want to talk techy talk to me and me only.
Got a problem with your OCZ product....?
