Well - I don't think you stupid. There is a groove in the evaporator and the rubber ring fits inside the groove. I will agree with you, the metal ring is better. He said he was looking for a metal ring atm.

bearing places sell them Duniek, thats where i got mine from, just need a 2mm groove
