motherboard independent. just requires a CPU based on Intel Core technology (Yonah, Merom, Conroe, Allendale, Woodcrest, Kentsfield, Clovertown, etc)

Out of curiosity, is there an updated MBM motherboard list or something? If not, what should I tell it my 680i is? Or will it even work with the 680i? :P

no there is no updated MBM, but i Might work on any newer board, it all depends what monitoring chip is used, only thing is that it probably has to be adjusted to show right values and it takes some time figuring out what values are witch, when i set it up for P5BDlx i had to adjust all voltages, like 12v rail was showing 3v

That'd be awesome! I have mbm5 installed on all of my pcs but only on my latest addition (gigabyte s3) refuses to cooperate.

Tested it on my P5B now, but i get some wired results here too. Don't know if i installed it correctly, but i think so!

82°C + 22°C and not showing it in the dashboard?

Edit: 22°C should match Core 1, it is the same temperature on CoreTemp.

probably a driver load issue. i changed it from hardcoded to API read. can you give me the full path to you drivers directory? Should be something like "C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers"

my plugin has absolutely nothing to do with dashboard display. make sure you have expanded the dashboard enough for it to show (or it could be UNDER one of the other tiles - check it out). those temperatures are wild. run Core Temp on your system and see what it reports. Also, please tell me what OS you are running (with what SP) and your CPU type.

Ok, found a Bug here! Under load the Core 1 reading starting to work, but on idle it goes up to 8x°C. I'm running XP Prof. SP2.

that's definately good to know. the strange thing is that the code has nothing to do with load or cooling or anything. the driver simply retrieves the data and passes it to the plugin which passes it to MBM5. What exact does the 8x read say? if its greater than 85 then something is definately wrong as 85 is the max that should be reportable (anything greater would mean that the DTS sensor is a negative number...)

It changes between 83 - 85°C. CoreTemp reports 21°C for this Core.

Edit: Sometimes the temperature in task switches to the correct 21°C. Maybe one time in 5 minutes, but then it goes back to the 85°C. Anyway, thanks for ur effort, i'm at work now, be back in a few hours.
