FW 85.96_mod for SLi on any chipset

Hi:

I buy now one Gigabyte Ga-965P-DS4 + Intel Core2 Duo E6400 and i have 2 XFX 7600 Gt Extreme edition from my other pc (Amd 64 3200 Venice+DFI Lanparty Ut Nf4 SLI-D).

The only have to do is instaling the cards in their pci-Express slots and use the moded drivers to can enable SLI??.

No need to to any mod or united the cards same as SLI???.

I think you should reinstall the driver, only all over again it is necessary to remove old one completely.

So this problem is unusual? cuz another member on my forum is having the same problem..

*edit* We're both running 2x MSI 7900GTO @ Abit AW9D-MAX if that makes a difference

My system works fine with Sams drivers and AW9D-MAX and 2x7900GTOs (flashed to GTX though). Altough there are some visual glitches with the new nvapps.xml in some games, but I'm sure they are related to 8x.xx drivers in sli mode, not the mod itself.

Guys I got a question....I get 11400 in 3dmark 06 with sli 7900gtxs but everytime I play GRAW at 1920x1080 at full settings I get 40fps....My question is I look at the temps of both gpu's and One core is a 56 degrees while the other is stationary at 35 degrees, at all times....even with 3dmark06 the second core only goes up like 3 degrees while core 0 goes up like 22 degrees..... I was wondering if one card is working too hard while the other does diddly squat...11400 3dmark06 is good but I think I can do more, because Im observing core 1 doing ing squat..... I tried AFR and SFR in coolbits but to no avail....It the software just buggy or am I doing something wrong...uninstalled and drivercleaned already and still same one core full out and one core doing 10%

A game needs a SLI profile which tells the driver how to get optimal performance for a specific title. You can try taking a never nvapps.xml from a newer driver set. You can also check if the nvapps.xml has a profile for your title by looking if it has the executable listed in it, if not then you just have to try to find optimal settings by yourself ...

Don't know what GRAW is but 11k in 3dmark06 was what my 7900 GTX SLI got with 3.5Ghz Core2, usually one GPU is hotter than the other due to airflow for example idle my 8800 GTXs one is 5'C hotter than the other. However 35 seems too cool, if you really want to know if SLI is working turn on the load balance graphical option in the control panel :-) and yes like other poster said you need an SLI profile or need to create one yourself.

You can just replace it, it is located in windows\system32\nvapps.xml. If the drivers have nvapps.xm_ you should expand it by using the following commandline tool: expand nvapps.xm_ nvapps.xml

Then replace the nvapps.xml in your system32 dir and you should be just fine. Not sure if you need to reboot or visit the nv control panel or something to make changes take place.

For users of Abit AW9D-MAX with uGuru on startup, SLI will be disabled in some (or all) applications if uGuru is running. No need to enable/disable SLI, just close uGuru and SLI will kick in.

This is my first try at an sli setup i got 2x bfg 7950gt oc 512 cards which i have running with the modded driver in a shuttle sd37p2, havent had any issues as yet with a selection of my fav games and i'm well happy.

i got some problems with 2 x Leadtek 6800U + P5B DLX
the SLI is enable but i can`t run any bench or game,i got a black screen and reboot
the old drivers are removed and all entries are cleaned,
tested 85.96 and 84.56

any help?

There seems to be such distain for XP 64 bit by the majority of software manufacturers. I am really starting to regret purchasing it.

Hey mate, I now tried the 85.96 modded drivers with two GeForce 7950 GT's but it doesn' make a difference to enable SLI Multi-GPU or not. I checked as well if both cards are working and they are... What could wrong? I cleaned all drivers with DriverCleaner...

Well I redid everything, and now it works, full clean, restart, check if all is gone and only then install the drivers. So it works, however I would like to know how we can get this done for other drivers...

For which card do you want these to work? Cause I changed these to support the 7950 GT as well... So any card could be added normally. But we should really get newer drivers to allow SLI or to get patched. Now I am all for that if I get some help and then I would be happy to assist on these patches...

I'll help you. you would have to tell me how to do it though.
