What are your load temps guys? Idle is not important, load is.

Rivatuner does a log. I think this card is not supported, though it should be VERY SOON.Originally Posted by irenic

Anybody tried the forceVGAdeviceID trick with Riva, the value is 92 for 7800, it might work.

Load 77C
XFX 8800GTX, just leave ATiTool running, it'll tell you the max temp.
Yes the new nvidia ntune 5.5 works with my p5wdh and now I can control fans speed.

Get the 97.02 drivers and the latest NTune and you can set your fan to 100%.
Made my 8800GTX run 10C cooler.

This is NOT uploaded by myself but instead from another user (Eva2000). He recieved this program with his Gainward 8800GTS and it allows for overclock and fan control of the 8800 series cards. Since all cards are made from the same manufacturer you should be able to use this piece of software with your current card. I believe it allows you to have settings stick after a reboot but I'll let you guys share on that as I don't yet have a card to test it with myself. Give your thanks to Eva2000 for sharing this.

I have a 8800GTS on the way and it would be cool if someone can confirm a program that lets you set the fan speed AND "have the profile loaded automatically with every reboot". Thanks
OMG dude, do you have it at 100% 24/7? I was just adjusting it then and 100% is waay too loud for me for general use. Maybe for benching as it does make a huge difference to temps over letting the bios control it automatically.Originally Posted by mele
And what the hell is up with that anyway?!? These cards run HOT. But even as the card hits 85 degrees, the fan, by default as is set in the card's bios (or at least my cards bios, EVGA btw), only ramps up to 67%?! How hot /can/ these cards run safely? I guess the manufacturers think HIGH to be specifying such conservative settings for the fan.

. ATI Tray Tools? Is that compatible with Nvidias much like ATI tool is?
I know there is a very similar program called nvtray that may do it.

Just thought I'd note the latest version of ntune works fine on this mobo too.
