    Max Spi 1M, 2M and 4M...

    Always nice to see a Spi 4M < 1min

    Thx to my bro Quent for lending me this CPU.

    I'm waiting for a Biostar TForce P965 Deluxe which may arrived very soon. Thx again Quent...

    Thx dude!

    I've tried to increase to vcore up to 1.79V but it really didn't change anything. As for the Vmch, the NB would make the system freezing over ~ 1.75V.

    Xavier

    Skirms is right I'm sure this chip could take me to the 9.XXXs but not with on that (dead) P5B...

    @TaPaKaH: I don't know; I don't have any air cooler. May be Quent could answer if he read the thread.

    Have you tried over 2.0V vMCH? My board ran fine with 2.01V with Icewater (-2C), what cooling you're using on NB?

    Thx loc.o

    @Boble76: I've tried with more Vmch, BTW the system is rebooting on a random basis while running with more than lets say 1.75V.

    So guys, the P5B-DLX has died yesterday... I hardly need that Biostar of Quent's to arrive very soon now.

    Xavier

    I got same issue with my p5b dlx, more vmch than 1.75v makes random reboots and usually no booting. Keep it going before, willing to see the results with biostar!!

    @JOd3r: Thx !

    @Boble76: Mobo revision is 1.03G.

    @Skirms: Of course I can imagine you are not the only one to have done that BTW I don't feel enough self-confident to do this job by myself. I've tried to unsolder one of those tiny mos on an old ATI Rage 128 and it was pretty hard to do...

    @kemo6600: yes a good one for sure... I guess a mobo that can run about 565FSB would be okay.
    Best Regards,
    Xavier

    Same revision. Should run nicely..vMCH >2.0V. It's strange that your MoBo is not stable over 1.75V ? Maybe it is the CPU...or RAM??
    I've almost same CPU stepping, only last 3 numbers are different..L629A807
    Dani's coming tomorrow to buy it from me and he will test my "old" (P5B DLX) MoBo & he's own E6600 with CO2..can't wait!! I'm afraid he's gonna make good damage in SuperPi.

    Stay tuned and tell how your "project" continues..

    Thx buddy!

    hehe I wish Dani & you the greatest for this benching session. If I correctly remember you were too drunk to think clear last time; hey guys don't try to overclock yourselves! I'm looking forward to see your results...

    I've emailed the shop about RMA process and now waiting for an answer. BTW I'll travel to the city where the shop is located this week end... my parents are living there and I was supposed to go visiting them.

    That Biostar of Quents was supposed to arrive today but as usual the French postal service is late -always on strike-... That really suxx!
