Glad I stumbled upon this thread. I just picked up a VapoLS which will be here this week and I've been trying to decide on exactly which measures I should take to condensation-proof my setup. It looks like the general consensus is that greasing the socket is the way to go. I don't particularly want to do this as I may be upgrading mobo's soon and cleaning up that mess can't be fun. I have seen a few posts where people claim that just the foam will be good enough on a stock LS.

So the question is... To cake the socket, or not to cake the socket?

One more thing; any specific type of nail polish that works best (preferably clear)?

P.S. I also have a friend who is going to TEC his Conroe, should he take the same measures as a phaser for condensation proofing?
