    Problems with Cellshock + Giga P965 DS3

    I have problems running my Cellshock PC8000 5-5-5-15 at 1000mhz.
    It runs ok at 410x9 (x2) = 820mhz.
    But cant hit 1000mhz on any divider.
    Anyone have the same layout and can give me advice?
    The ram is getting from 2-2.3V nothing helps.
    Thinking of returning the memory and get some other ones. Any advice?

    it's a known problem when running micron D9 based memory, everyone's waiting for a fixed BIOS (hopefully this coming week)

    So it isn´t the memory then?
    I was thinking of returning them, and get some other modules.

    I can se form your signature you are hitting +1000mhz on this board.

    So wouldn´t you suggest returning the modules and get an other brand?

    I have the same damn ******* problem. Don't return your RAM, it's fine (amongst the best stuff). I can't go over ~440FSB 1:1, which is really holding back my OC. If by next week the problem isn't resolved in the new F7 or F8 BIOS, I'm gonna get myself another board *sigh*

    About my Cellshock memory;
    Ive seen test showing the 4-4-4-12 PC6400 and PC8000 are 100% the same chips. And they hit 1200mhz
    Do you know where my PC8000 5-5-5-15 comes in between here?

    I bought these memory because it was the only one avalible. But the PC6400 are getting back in stock this week, and they are a bit cheaper than the ones I bought.
    Do you think I shold trade them back for some PC6400 ones?

    no man, dont worry. most likely your RAMs are just fine. it's the mobo thats bugging you. and if your not convinced, try testing it on a different chipset.
    if you decide to get rid of your mobo, get a RD600, it will let you max out fsb and ram seperatly so you can finally enjoy your top ram
